Eva Jean and I were swamped with work yesterday, in fact I didn't get home until 3:00pm. Steven showed up to move in a couple of round bales, one in the middle paddock and one for the boys. He then started bringing in the horses. He is working at getting the mares fit for the show.
We left for choir just a bit early, we needed to get the cups delivered for Rhonda. We arrived about the same time as Marvin and Gale who happened to be serving lunch for the night. Gail took all of the 20-50 Bible studies for the Bloomington group. Peoria church will get a break this week.
Choir was fun! I really should have gone last week, it is such a blessing to be singing praises to our Lord together. And then came the lunch!
Gail started the meal with spinach lasagna rolls.
Marilyn Baurer helped with lunch and brought beautiful vegetables.
Below are not bacon wrapped wienies, nope they are bacon wrapped stuffed dates.
The fruit was not just delicious it was very colorful.
Below are pickled beets.
And to finish up delicious home baked brownies from scratch made with a caramel sauce Gail brought back from Brazil.
All of this was just wonderful except Mark and I are serving the next time we have choir. How are we ever going to top that!
Below are a few of our ladies enjoying the meal.
We arrived home around 10:00pm and headed straight to bed.
