Snow Removal

No snow at the beginning of our walk but when we went in to visit with mom the snow started and was coming down thick stinging our faces as we headed home. After breakfast I took the golf cart over to the barn to start on the floors. I worked on the kitchen living area floor while Mark worked on the gym floor. He finished before me as after sweeping I went to work mopping. By the time I had finished the golf cart was covered with snow. The picture below was taken out the kitchen window of the barn looking over to the other 2 barns. The snow was still coming down hard.

Mark went over to shovel at mom's and came back with extra help. Mackenson and Berlica were more than willing to help with the shoveling.

The snow slowed way down and then stopped for about an hour but by 3:00 pm it was coming down thick and fast. About 4:00 pm Mark took the skid steer out to start plowing the drives.

He came in at 5:30 pm cold and wet and was glad to jump in a hot shower to get ready for church. We thought they might cancel church and checked at 6:00 pm but it was still on so started the drive in to Peoria. The roads were pretty bad, snow covered and slow. We could only drive about 40 mph and even on the interstate we were sometimes driving 35 but we made it safely and by 6:45 pm.  David had the message today and brought the podium up to the front as we were such a small group. If you would like to watch this message click HERE  It was a VERY good message on a verb and how to work that verb even though sometimes it is hard. After church we went to Culvers for a late supper. That is always a great ending to a Wednesday night. I'm thankful for the fellowship and food.
This evening I was thinking how the last administration killed over 22 million chickens and drove the price of eggs up. It was such a waste.
With this economy, I've started investing in stocks: beef, chicken and vegetable.  One day I hope to be a bouillionaire!  and if that doesn't catch you off guard here is one more to think about.  Of all the inventions over the last 100 years the dry erase board is the most remarkable.
