Spring Arrives

Spring isn't really here yet but this morning while walking over to mom's house the robins were calling and the air felt warm. It was 36 degrees and the snow was melting. Right after the walk mom and I left for the Berean office. The parking lot there was a sheet of ice. Wayne and Ron were busy spreading sand to keep us all safe. If you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. As soon as we finished we drove straight down to the Bartonville post office to drop off the Bibles then up the hill to Kroger to pick up mom's meds. The sun was shining so brightly that some of the snow was shoveled off mom's balcony and she sat out in the sunshine after lunch. Dan came to visit her and also enjoyed the sunshine. When he left mom came inside but felt light headed and was afraid she wouldn't make it to her chair before she fainted. Thankfully she did make it. She called to ask for the blood pressure cuff and when we took her blood pressure it was 116 over 65 but that was after sitting in her chair with her legs up so we are thinking her blood pressure dropped a little too low. While at mom's I saw Karin's car heading over to Joan's house. I was working on the golf cart filling the tires with air so took it right up to the barn when done to grab a few pictures. The drive was so slushy on the way back we were kicking up some serious splashing slush.

Karin had picked up Faith to go trail riding with she, Isaiah and Magda. Below they are getting the horses tacked up.
Magda was first to mount, she was riding Okana. Faith mounted up on Irish pretty quickly.

Isaiah's ride for this trail ride was Mika.
Below they are all ready to head out to the trails.

They went the back way starting in the big field.
It was 50 degrees and a beautiful day to spend outside.  Later this afternoon I tried to get on AC Central on the sermon page and it just wouldn't load. I've tried for 2 days over and over. I'm not sure if it is my computer or the website is getting overwhelmed.  This evening Diane and I went to mom's for games. It was a fun game with lead changes throughout but in the end Diane won.
