Safe At Home

The update came from the travelers who actually made it home late this after noon.  Below are the journal entries.

8-14-19 Day 16 Wednesday Part 1 We got up at 5 this morning for a quick breakfast. We took off from Ruth Scott's house!! She was so kind to us. Miss Joan dropped us off at the airport and they continued on to St. Louis. We boarded our flight and were on our way to San Francisco. About 3 1/2 hours later we took another flight to Seattle, Washington to visit Uncle Brent and Aunt Rachel! Uncle Brent picked us up from the airport and we arrived at their house about 2 1/2 hours later. We unloaded and played games and after a delicious dinner of spaghetti, meatballs, and breadsticks we played some football and then some baseball. We just got done eating some wonderful dessert!!! Apples with sugar, cinnamon, and ice cream. We are all really missing the Rienhard family but are also so thankful for the wonderful two weeks we had together and a big family in Jesus Christ! ~Ellie 8-14-19 Day 16 Wednesday Part 2 We woke up about 5 this morning, said good bye to Ruth Scott and headed to the airport. After bitter sweet good byes we left the Christiansens at the airport and Mom, Hannah, Mackenson, Berlica, and I were on our way to St Louis to see the arch. We arrived at St Louis about 4:00 pm but since our time to go up into the arch wasn't until 5:00 we had some time to look around the museum at the base of the arch. Once we were loaded up in the tram we waited for about 10 minutes as they fixed some technical difficulties, but the actual ride up was enjoyable. Once at the top there were windows on each side. One side over looks Missouri and the other Illinois! After looking at the gorgeous view we rode the tram back down and headed to the local Apostolic Church. We parked the camper in the church house drive way and got ready for church. After church we ate supper and went to bed. Another fun filled day complete! - Faith
8-15-19 Day 17 Thursday Part 1 This morning we woke up at 7 and ate a very quick breakfast before leaving the church parking lot and heading to the zoo. The roads were really busy and we were a little late. I liked all the cool birds. Some of them had big horns on their heads, and there were some really cool gorillas. My favorite part was watching the sea lions do tricks in the show. - Mackenson Part 2 I liked looking at the tortoises and hearing the zebras. I loved petting the sharks and lots of stingrays. We even got to feed the stingrays with our hands! They suck up their food like a vacuum. I accidentally held on to the food while the stingray was trying to suck it up. It was really cool to watch the sea lions jump and do tricks and go down the water slide. One thing that was really nice was the mist machines where we got to cool off. Then we left the zoo and started our 3 hour drive home at last! Mackenson said it is a happily ever after. - Berlica
