LIghtning Thunder Rain Sun

We had it all today. This morning we watched a storm roll across the gulf at sunrise. This picture was actually taken facing west, the storm was coming from the east and we didn't get to see the sun rise but saw the evidence of it peeking through the clouds.
We had breakfast at our favorite resturant again, Beth's condo. Diane and Beth prepared a wonderful breakfast for all 5 of us. Mark checked the crab traps and bait after breakfast, then drove to a bait shop for fresh shrimp and minnows then he and Beth fished in the rain.

The dolphins were also fishing very close to shore and seemed to scare all the good ones away although Mark caught a small fish he put in the crab trap. Beth decided we needed to play games during the rain and brought out Mexican Train Domino., but after only a couple of rounds the sun came out. We all headed out to the beach after lunch to check out the waves after the storm.  After a nice walk on the beach Diane and Beth went boogie boarding. Check out the wave behind Beth.

Mom decided she wanted to go after seeing Diane and Beth having so much fun riding the waves. I took one boogie board and mom took the other and for some reason we thought we would be able to easily walk out to the big waves. The first big wave knocked mom down. Beth just happened to be manning the camera.
Diane came out to help mom get back on her feet but the next wave knocked her down too.
With each wave mom got rolled right in to shore. This time both Diane and I were determined to get her out to the big waves. Below we are hanging on to her practically dragging her out.
Below mom and I were getting a good ride all the way in to shore.

The waves were really strong and gave us long rides but only if we could get out far enough out first.
We went to a new restaurant for dinner called flippers. Diane decided it was her new favorite restaurant they gave us free ice cream after our meal. We had a table out on the dock and got to watch the birds, sailboats and fish while waiting for our meal.

They had a fish feeding station, Diane gave Mark 50 cents so he could feed the fish after dinner.
Mom and Beth kept throwing our left overs into the water right in front of Mark while he was feeding the fish. I snapped the picture of these 2 guilty ladies.
A text came in from Rhoda just now, they had to put Bunni's filly down. She stopped improving and started moaning. She only lived about 60 hours and was never able to stand. Rhoda, Sarah and Emily milked Bunni and bottle fed her every hour day and night since she was born. Heart breaking but not unexpected.
