Zalena

Mark looked out the door window this morning around 5:20am and quickly reports there is a horse out but don't worry about it, it is helping with the mowing. Once checked we can't figure out which horse it is, they all seem to be in until I remembered Zalena and Ylse's paddock. The corner post was hit by a fire truck. We did a very temporary fix until we are ready to start on the paddock and the temporary fix fell down. They were put into the middle paddock and the back gate was opened to give the mares plenty of room. Below they have just been let out and are heading over the dam to better pastures.
Airiah saw them going and was not happy to be staying behind in the breeding shed paddock. She was looking longingly over just hoping to go with them.
We will move her in with the herd later today after teasing her with Raven. Jozsef Davidovics showed up early to start setting fence posts, by the time I got back from Hattie Hoerr's funeral he had just finished up.
We jumped on the golf cart to show him the next section of fence that needs repair and he is more than willing to help. I just need to order more posts. The Moser's left a flash drive with pictures of Isabella's Song for the website. She is such a gorgeous 2 year old Raven daughter. They only want $4000.00 for her and she comes with a reduced breeding fee to Evan at age 3. Talk about a quick payback for someone wanting to get into warmblood horses.
This is a very friendly sweet filly that absolutely loves children.
Notice how she drops her head for brushing. She will be a big mare, she is just shy of 15 hands at 2 years of age and should easily hit 16.1 or 16.2. Her mother who is no longer living was a nice tall Trakehner mare. We have another Trakehner mare coming in for breeding tomorrow afternoon. Her owner says the mare is 17 hands and she wants to use Evan. I'm sure he will figure out a way to get the job accomplished but we may need to stick her in a hole. Actually speaking of sticking, we should probably stick Evan again, he has had another growth spurt and looks like he is 16 hands or close to that. Diane, Rhonda and I tried to put the horse trailer's spare tire back on but finally gave up. I guess some things do take a man!
