Brrr, Winter is Back

It wasn't that cold on the walk but it was raining, the cold came a bit later. Mike showed up with his new tool. We all had to admire this tool (that's what dad always called these things).
Jewel's colt was showing some diarrhea this morning so he was put on the watch list.  Oksana, Indy and Irish were let out to graze for 2 and a half hours then put in the breeding shed paddock where they promptly knocked down a board.  I was going to move a new bale in their paddock but it was just too wet and too muddy, it was just easier to move the horses than a bale.  Today is Sarah's birthday so we made plans to meet up, shop at Sam's then have lunch at Flat Top.  By the time everything was done around here I was wet but by the time I got to Sarah's it felt like winter was back.  We filled the car with groceries then went to lunch. Zion was so funny, she is trying to be grown up and wanted her own bowl then when we were putting our left overs in boxes, she grabbed a box and started filling it from her bowl.
Sarah and Nola are expecting 3 litters of puppies all at the same time. This will be Maddie's first litter. Maddie is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.
She weighs about 25 pounds and is non shedding.
She was bred to Chewy who is a purebred Moyen Poodle weighing in at close to 20 pounds.
These puppies due the end of June will be NON shedding, 20-25 pounds and be wonderful family dogs. The puppies are called Whoodles. Below is a picture of Whoodle pup
They are absolutely adorable. Sarah already has a waiting list for these puppies.  Arrieta was bred to Deuce. Arrieta is a Maltipoo (Maltese x Poodle) which is also non shedding.
She was bred to a King Charles Cavalier for those adorable CavaPoo puppies. Below is Deuce. Her litter is also due the end of June.
Rizzy was bred to a King Charles Cavalier also.

Cavapoo puppies are adorable. Check out Rizzy's last litter by visiting our website www.horsemeister.com  and clicking on the Puppies for sale link.
AND to top it off, Rhoda and Lee's dog Ruby also came in season and was bred to Deuce.

All 4 litters of puppies are due just days apart. These girls are going to be busy busy busy.  When I got back from Sarah's house I spent some time in Jewel's stall just watching her colt and was disappointed to see his diarrhea was worse. Hoerr Vet clinic was called to set up an appointment in the morning to bring him in just in case he will need fluids. The clinic told Dr. Hoerr I would be bringing in a colt tomorrow, as he was on my side of the river, he stopped in tonight to check on him.  The colt does not have a fever and is not dehydrated yet.  He didn't need any fluid tonight but foals crash so quickly that I'll need to check him first thing in the morning, if he is better I'll cancel the appointment. Dr. Hoerr came with the news that his Saddlebred mare he bred to Valiant last year delivered a black filly this morning. The mom and foal are doing well. If I end up taking the colt to the clinic I'll get some pictures of the new baby.
