Happy Tooth

Another day another dollar...lost that is. Check out that smile! See the big smile in that tooth on the right?

I lost a filling a few days ago and today went to the dentist to have it filled. When the x-ray was taken it looked so funny I had to get a picture of that happy tooth. I don't know how yet how much a filling cost but I'm sure we will find out soon.  Funny how getting old means so do your fillings. I elected to skip the numbing and just had Dr. Stoller drill it out so maybe that saved a few dollars. They didn't take a second x-ray but I'm sure that smile is now gone. On the way home from Pekin I drove to Hoerr Vet clinic in Morton to pay the bill for Tatiana's emergency c section and the two other emergency farm calls associated with her and her colt's loss. This was not a good start to our year. The good news is the weather has been warm and the grass is slowly turning green and growing. Today Eden turned 6 years old. Sarah posted the picture below.
We will celebrate her birthday with Braelyn's on Sunday. These grand children are growing up quickly. Mark worked on replacing more fencing boards this afternoon. I saw Phil's truck at the barn when I was leaving mom's today. I'll have to check out what got done there tomorrow. On the way to church we saw that they had taken the motorhome over to their house to get ready for the big trip next week down to Gulf Shores. Mike Kaisner had the message tonight at church. He read Psalm 46 first, the best refuge Psalm and of course we had to sing number 4 in the Hymns of Zion. The second reading was Mark 4 the parable of the seed sower. To watch that click HERE. After the service Caleb and Kristin's kids escaped their mom and ran up to the pulpit. I think they may be preparing them for the future.
We joined the group at Culvers for a late supper. Below are a few of the regulars.
