We were both up early, really early like 3:00 am. Probably something to do with the time change and getting so much sleep the night before. I stopped in at the apartment to drop of the clean sheets and towels and got the bed made before the walk. Ruth was just a couple minutes late. We stopped in at mom's and talked about what a success the pancake and sausage supper was making over $19,000 and that was over and above all the expenses. They served a bit more than 450 people, ran out of pancake batter an hour after opening and had to run buy more to make it to the 7:00 pm closing time. The organizer agreed, that the candy store MUST be back for the next one. After breakfast Mark helped me hook the truck up to the stock trailer. We were going to take Jewel, Oliver and Star to Middle Grove today around noon. I worked about a half an hour more on the apartment then went to the barn to start the cleaning there. Mark had ordered another quick set keyless entry lock for the barn door. We really like going without keys as those can get lost. He was installing that when I arrived. I was able to get the 3 bathrooms done, the kitchen done but still need to do all the floors and windows in both the apartment and the barn. Mike arrived to help load the horses so I quit with the cleaning. All three loaded quietly. Mike and Diane took his truck and trailer loaded with new lumber to build a dock for their sailboat. I followed them just to make sure none of the boards would come loose and fall off. When we arrived the horses were in sight but scattered on the hillside grazing. The video below shows the ones we brought getting unloaded, galloping up the hill to the herd then meeting the herd. The horses are a little muddy but will clean up out there.

Broken Phone
The grass is coming up and the horses are grazing rather than eating the bales. We will move them soon to the summer pasture. I wanted to check mares. Rosalie due April 10th is hard to tell, she is just so thick. Her udder is completely flat but looking at this picture I think she probably is carrying.
The picture above makes her neck look really short. The picture below is better but doesn't show how thick she i but shows her length of neck.
Her dam Lily is not expecting. She is 23 years old and last year was her last foal.
The picture below is an older picture of Lily and I am amazed at how much Rosalie looks like her mama. This was after her filly Ciera was born and before her colic surgery.
Blueberry is due April 16th and I didn't realize I didn't take a picture of her today. Below is a picture of when Mike first bought her. She is much heavier now with her belly sticking out on both sides. Rosaleigh is due April 23rd.
Sheena due April 30th she is on the right of the picture below.
Dancer, the horse in the middle of the picture above is due May 5th.
Aichen, another of Mike's Thoroughbred mares is due May 17th and Bulu July 5th. Then we have a break, Jury, if she is expecting (we didn't have the last 3 sonagrammed) would be due Aug 16th, Madiera Sept 15th and Basilea Sept 26th. We actually need to bring these 3 in and get ultrasounds on them. That way if they are not pregnant we can get them bred in May or June. If interested in looking at the rest of the pictures I took today at Middle Grove click HERE. I left for home then. We had sent a large check out to the construction company on Feb 17th by bill pay and got notice they never received the payment. It cleared our account on Feb 19th so Mark called CEFCU. Somehow, someway the people that run the bill pay said it must have got lost in the mail. Mark had to put a stop payment on the check and I had to DRIVE the replacement check to the construction company as we can't trust the mail. I backed the car up and there was a gravel truck sitting at the entrance of our drive. There is only one way into this neighborhood and one way out and that truck was right in the way and not moving. I waited for a while in the car believing they would move soon but then thought maybe they are waiting for me to get out of the way so they could come straight up the hill. I moved the car but the truck didn't move. I finally decide I may as well go back inside and start dishes and just as I opened the car door the truck began to move forward. Then to my surprise it started backing up and again stopped.
About then I realized they were slowly and I mean really slowly raising the truck bed to dump gravel on the drive. As soon as the truck was out of the way I took off to get the check delivered. When I got back I could tell Joan was busy spreading gravel with mom's Kubota. The big pile at the entrance was moved.
Mark and Mackenson were working on drilling more holes for the bunk beds this afternoon. When I got back from delivering the check I refilled supplies at the barn. The 2 fire extinguishers we ordered for the horse barn arrived today. Mark will install them tomorrow. Mark dropped his phone on the drive and when he realized that it was too late. The gravel truck had run over it.
He called Philip with my phone, Phil told him how to buy one on Amazon and that is what he did. He will be without a phone until the 16th of March in case anyone tries to call him.
