The lady that bought one of Lily's colt by Valiant posted a neat video of him today. His name is Apollo. She called his name and he came running through the snow to find her.
It is so funny to see how much like his sisters Rosalie and Valerie he is. They do the same thing. They hear their name and come running but are not quite sure if we are who they think we are but once they recognize us they are SO glad to greet us. Just Diane and I walked again and were shocked when we went out to find another 3 inches of snow on the ground and it was still snowing. The snow was very light and fluffy making it easy to walk. By the time we got to mom's house our heads had accumulated quite a covering of snow. Right after breakfast Mark and I went shopping first to Sam's club to pick out the food for Sunday's meal. We couldn't find all the ingredients at Sam's so stopped at Aldi's on the way home. Diane gave me the idea of this meal, she served it for the Honegger Christmas and everyone loved it. More will be posted of the meal on Sunday, sure hopes it turns out as well as Diane said. I'll be cooking with a few ingredients I've never used before. When we got home Mark finished installing the dishwasher and put the wood block back on the top of that while I cleaned the upstairs. At 2:00 pm Diane and I met over at mom's to do some stretching exercises with mom and Karin. Diane stayed to work on the puzzle with mom but I came home to finish some inside work. At 4:00 pm Mark and I left for the Bartonville Diner. We stopped at the bank first to get some cash as the diner charges extra if using a credit card then needed to put gas in Mark's car. When we got to the diner we split a senior meal for less than $11.00 but by the time we paid the tax it came to $12.31 and we left a $4.00 tip. For$8.00 each we got plenty of food. For our two sides we each chose a salad.
We got the walleye fish dinner which comes with 2 huge filets of fish and the vegetable of the day.. Below is just Mark's portion.
If we would have wanted we could also have shared a pudding for dessert but we chose not to. The fish dinner was plenty. The roads were good until we turned into our drive. The snow had melted some then fresh snow fell on the icy snow and the car started sliding. Mark had to gun it to get the car up the hill but we made it. We are expecting more snow tonight. It was warmer today starting the morning at 26 degrees then going up to 30.
