It started snowing while we were on our walk. It was just a light snow but where the ice was on the lake the snow stuck.
I had to quit early and even before breakfast I was on my way to the Social Security Office. Mark had filled out some papers that needed to be turned in and said, "if you don't go early you will wait for hours." He was right I arrived just before 9:00 am but there was already a line. By the time I got to give those papers to the lady I had been there about an hour. She took the papers, said she would file them then walked away so I did too. I stopped at Aldi on the way home and found they had their spiral sliced ham marked down to $1.49 a pound so bought one of those. When I got back to the house Mark had come in from working outside and was sacked out on the chair. Evidently he was so cold he had a throw even over his face. Either that or he was playing hide and seek.
The older we get the less we can tolerate the cold. I got a fire going in the wood burner pretty quickly. We heated up chili to help us warm up for dinner. Tonight was the special Christmas program at the Fellowship hall. The temperature was 17 degrees but the wind was blowing so hard that going North the car was fighting the wind and being buffeted all over the road but when we turned to go South Mark found himself driving 68 mph. I was glad we got there early, we got a good seat next to Kathy and Randy. I only took one picture and no video as it should be posted on AC Central soon and I'll share it if it is. After the opening prayer Rachel sang Breath of Heaven and that was the perfect song to start this Spirit filled evening. The fellowship hall was filled and of course they served goodies after the program. On the way home I took a short video of Christmas lights. This one house on that road really had their house and yard decorated beautifully. I even opened the window to show everyone how pretty it looked.
