After a really good night's sleep it was easy to get up this morning and didn't even mind waiting the 5 minutes for the coffee pot to finish. Amazing how restorative sleep is. I don't do well when sleep deprived. We picked up Rhonda for church. Caleb Plattner had the morning message on Genesis 29 where Jacob had to work 14 years for Rachel. Jacob thought there were no consequences to his sin. Then he was tricked just as he tricked Esau his brother and Isaac his father. Caleb brought out Numbers 32 vs 23: But if ye will not do so, (serve the LORD) behold, ye have sinned against the LORD, and be sure your sin will find you out. Remember this verse when you are tempted to sin. If you would like to watch this message click HERE. This message wasn't all doom and gloom, at one point he had the whole church chuckling but you will need to watch it to see why. David had the afternoon message on the final minor prophet study. He read Zechariah 12, 13 and 14 and this is another message that is SO relevant today. Click HERE to watch that. After church the meal was quickly made and taken over to the barn. Joan needed to leave by 3:30 pm for the all church caroling. Mom really didn't want to go and it was my turn to stay. I ran back to the barn as Mackenson was there and promised to run over to get me if needed. When the grand kids arrived they were given the box of Christmas ornaments for decorating the tree. They were excited and went right to work.

Short Grands
I filled a plate for mom, Mackenson and me and went over to mom's for the evening. Mom was tired today and wanted to go to bed a little early. When Joan arrived around 8:30 pm I went first to the barn to put away any food and clean up but found someone had done it all and even started the dishwasher. Of course I had to check out the decorating job on the Christmas tree.
I had to take a close up of the bottom of the tree, it looks like we had a lot of short grandkids tonight.
The lights were turned out but it wasn't until I got home did I remember I had forgotten to turn off the tree lights. Oh well they can stay on for another night. I'm not driving back for that.
