Mom and Joan left at 6:30 am for her plastic surgery she was going to have on her nose. She had a spot of melanoma on the tip of her nose removed. Well six weeks ago Joan saw that it was coming back. She was able to get a consultation. The doctor looked at it and told her it was an aggressive cancer but the soonest they could get her in was today. She arrived at 7:00 am and they were pretty much waiting for her. The first procedure went pretty quickly but when they checked it found there was more and they ended up taking quite a bit from her nose. The 4th time of removing they think they got it all. They removed so much that she had to have a skin graft. Mom and Joan didn't get home until late this afternoon. Mom was glad to get back in her recliner with her soft lap blanket from Shirley.

Set UP
Exciting news came from Rachel this afternoon. Caleb and Emily are expecting again in June.
This will make the 8th grandchildren for Rachel and David and all of them will be 4 or under and everyone is praying Emily has a girl for Ruby's sake. Otherwise it will be Ruby and the 7 dwarves.
Anni is also due with her 3rd baby in June and that happens to be the 8th grandchild for Ruth and Fedi. Hannah is due in January with her second and Joan's that just happens to be Joan's 8th grandchild! We also have 2 weddings coming up. Sofia (Dan and Susan's daughter) is getting married in March and Faith (Joan's daughter) is getting married in June. This family is growing again!
Zion, River, Mark and I went over to the barn this morning to set up for the Meister Christmas. Those girls were great help.
They helped bring in 120 chairs from the gym.
The next job was to put the table cloths on and they even helped with the center pieces. By the time I left the barn we had 130 places set up in the living area and 20 more in the gym. We are expecting more than 150 at the latest count but I ran out of the lifetime tables so either have to set up one of those really heavy tables or a couple of smaller 6 foot tables.
We got word that our half of beef will be ready to be picked up the first part of next week. That meant we had to clean out the freezer. I had been using the food out of there so it wasn't too hard. We unplugged it and brought the food over here. Tomorrow I MUST make soup. I still had soup bones that needed to be used along with some beef stock. I also have the heart left from the last beef so may need to cook that too. Mike went to Middle Grove to move bales in and sent back a video. I've included it with the one of dropping off the weanlings as they are now with the herd.
This evening an apple cake was baked for the Berean volunteers tomorrow. The house smells great right now.
