Surprise 40th for Rachel

We kept this quiet all week but tonight at 5:30pm we were to meet at Diane's house, hide in the garage and surprise Rachel for her 40th birthday. It was all planned, the cars all were parked at the farm and people were shuttled over to Mike and Diane's. David told Rachel he wanted to take her to dinner at Gil's. Mike had planned to call David and tell him he got a deer, not just any deer but a big buck and they should come see it just as Rachel and Dave were leaving their house. All of this went as planned, except Rachel right away says, "ask Mike if we can have the meat." The lights were out, all 30-40 people crammed in the garage were hardly daring to breath when the Sauders finally arrived. Mike turned on the lights and as one we all yelled, "SURPRISE!" and she WAS.
We all enjoyed the sumptuous dinner, then watched and laughed as Rachel opened her gifts.








Such a fun evening.
