Lift Chair Fixed

Last night after coming home from mom's I took a butter braid out of the freezer to rise over night planning on baking it in the morning. I awoke, thought it was 5:00 am to find it had not risen much at ALL. Just as I was starting to panic I realized it was 11:30 pm, of course it hadn't risen yet it had only been 2 and a half hours.  At 5:00 am it had risen but not enough so the oven was turned on to 200 and once it reached that turned off and the butter braid put in to finish rising. By 7:00 am it was ready to bake. Ruth called off the walk and Joan agreed so of course I was quick to agree too. It was drizzling rain and cold.  Sarah sent the picture below of her girls feeding the weanlings.

I was thankful that I didn't have to do it, what good workers these grand children are.
As we don't have the wheel chair van fixed we had to arrange transport and it worked that Joan took mom, and me to Berean, dropped us off then drove to East Peoria to take Mackenson and Berlica to the dentist. On the way Spark sent a text that he was working on mom's lift chair but not sure he could get it working. We were VERY busy at the Berean office. Mom could not keep up with the stamping of envelopes. Each time she got a good amount done Bruce would take them. We had so much mail that we needed lots of envelopes. We were very thankful for Leila, Sharon, Shirley R, Shirley L, Bruce, Marvin, Kathy, and Skip.
We were all kept busy trying to get everything done.

The computers were working slow today which had us a little frustrated as we had almost 50 Bible requests and almost 100 studies come in. A text came in from Spark that the chair was now fixed. That was such good news it had to be shared with the rest of the family as we were starting to think we would need to buy another lift chair.
We had finally sat down for our treat, the butter braid, when Joan arrived to take us home. Berlica and Joan helped load all of the Bibles in her van then brought mom out. We made it to the Hanna City post office at exactly 12:28 pm and started unloading when Joan discovered the post office was closed. They closed at least 2 minutes early today. Instead we drove to mom's and Mackenson helped load all of those Bibles into my car. I had to wait until 1:30 pm for the post office to open back up. Sarah asked if I could pick up the girls first. Zion wanted to stay and help her parents but Eden and River wanted to come. We drove to the post office unloaded the 3 full boxes of Bibles and studies then to Dollar General where I explained we were only buying 2 coloring books, markers and crayons. From there we went to our house where they were happy to color.
It was cold in the house so a fire was built in the living room wood burner. After Sarah picked up the girls, dinner was cooked for Mark. Joan went with the Pleasant Hill group so once mom was done with supper I ran back over to put her in the now fixed chair (THANKS Spark). Shirley R had given mom a lap blanket while at Berean and tonight she was using it.
Mom said it was so soft it felt like silk. It is the perfect size and weight. THANK YOU Shirley!
Mark and I are enjoying the wood burner tonight.
The house is cozy warm and we are thankful for this wonderful heat.  Mike and Diane took 2 other couples out on the Gulf of America today and had a wonderful time watching the dolphins.
