The Trade

Before heading to bed last night the last load of laundry was folded and put away and the kitchen cleaned up. This morning was easy. I hard boiled 15 eggs, then cut them all in half and made 30 deviled eggs and put them in the fridge for the party this evening. Mike Kaisner had the morning message in Peoria and the afternoon was the memorandum. We came straight home after church. The watermelon was cut up and put in the barn fridge along with all the other stuff we were bringing to the party.  Rhoda arrived with Lee, Iris and Zeke. Zeke saw Rhoda sweeping the floor and wanted to help.

Iris and I were taking a bucket of water and 2 washrags over to wash off the picnic tables when Rhoda arrived riding Jury.
We followed her down the first trail before heading to the playground to wash off the picnic tables. Iris got to ride Jury back to the barn after Rhoda finished the trail.
Phil and Taegan were decorating the picnic area and Nancy got to help with that.
It wasn't long before everyone was here and ready to eat. Phil had us sing to Anna first then came the meal, then volley ball, swimming and lots of games.
Below are a few pictures of the evening.

After the adult games were over the kids got to play.
Mark took Nancy home then stopped at the shop to pick up some work for tomorrow.  After the sun went down I left for home, Mark was needing a haircut and really wanted that done today so that was done.  I thought it was a fair trade, he drove to Morton to take Nancy home and I only had to work about 15 minutes to give him a hair cut.  We were both happy with the trade.
