Mom's Work Day

People started arriving for the work day around 8:30 am. We had a good group and got almost everything on the list done. There is still tree removal on the main dam for those who were not able to make it today. Below is a video of just some of the work done today.

To see the rest of the pictures of the work day click HERE. Around 11:00 Wendy arrived with her mare Whiskey who was coming here to be bred to Evan. This is a repeat breeding and the only outside mare we accepted because we promised last year to breed her back after seeing her GORGEOUS 2 year old filly by Evan. Whisky went right over to Evan and showed.

Mike came over to help and we got a successful cover on her. We will try again tomorrow evening. After lunch I needed to quickly flip the apartment as the guests from last night left around 11:00 pm and the new guests were coming in early. We also needed to move 3 bales in. Mark helped with those as each paddock had mares in it.

The bale in the picture above is going into the middle paddock while the bale below is going into the last paddock.

I moved Rosalie, her filly and Blueberry into that paddock. It needed some fence work to make it baby proof. Mark decided to use the skid steer to clean out the ground on the other side of that paddock so it would be easier to replace broken boards.

About that time Mike came over riding Dancer with Diane walking behind. She wanted the exercise.

We decided to bring Titus over and give him a training session in the round pen.

He did very well but today was just going back to the basics of leading at a walk and trot and keeping up with the handler. Stopping when the handler stopped. After that he was taken back to the cabin field for more tarp training. He ended up walking quietly with the tarp almost completely covering him. 

My phone died at that point so no videos or cool pictures. This evening the dishes needed to be done and the kitchen cleaned. I was able to finish all the apartment laundry and get it back up to the apartment before the new guests arrived. I know I'm going to sleep good tonight.
