During the night I was awakened by a loud thump. I did not get out of bed to see what could have caused the noise but it sounded like something large fell. By morning I had forgotten all about that noise. I slipped out at 6:00 am to check mares. All was well, still no waxing. Blueberry and Rosalie are now in the last paddock, so it is easy to put them in and out of the stalls. It wasn't until Mark got up and asked, "why is their laundry detergent all over the back hall?" that I remembered the loud thump. To my shock and discouragement the brand new huge tub of liquid laundry detergent I had just purchased from Sam's club somehow had jumped off the shelf, landed on the top which bent the handle into the lid and at least half had seeped out onto the floor. It is a mystery how this huge tub could fall. I was not doing laundry, there was no machines vibrating. The shelf was not disturbed and is level. The fabric softener was still on the shelf. My first thought was it had to be something pretty big in this house to knock that heavy tub off the shelf. But if it was an animal such as a raccoon in the house wouldn't there be other signs? Well that leaves only 2 explanations and I don't think I like either one. We either had an earthquake last night (but nothing else had fallen) OR we have a poltergeist. hmm must be 3rd explanation I can't think of yet as no one else in the neighborhood felt the earth move. We had an truly an awesome day in church. James Fehr, the elder from Tremont was here to help with communion and he had the morning message. To watch that message click HERE. Communion was celebrated in place of the afternoon message. That was so touching that by the time it was over there were many leaking eyes. Oh how we love our church family and how thankful we could share this special time with them. The last song sung was IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL. We didn't end up leaving until close to 2:00 pm. We had to stop at Aldi as I didn't go yesterday and needed the supplies to make party potatoes and a big salad for the fried chicken dinner tonight. We also celebrated birthdays at the barn today. Addyson turned 16, Abe turned 8 and River turned 4.

A Mystery
We had a big group for dinner.
Volleyball was still played inside but the weather was so nice that soon everyone migrated outside to enjoy the day. There were walks for the middle aged crowd, the playground for the grandchildren and lots of visiting for us old folks.
Joan built a nice fire and the evening ended with enjoying the fellowship around the fire.
The golf carts were in use this evening with plenty of kids getting the chance to drive.
It was hard to leave the fire as it was putting out some nice warmth.
Whiskey was taken out and teased but didn't seem too interested and Evan wasn't interested either. We know she was covered well yesterday evening so hopefully that one cover will do the job.
It is now 9:30 pm and I am more than ready for bed. What a wonderful Sunday!
