We stopped in at mom's during our walk to warm up and of course visit. It was another really cold morning with the temperature at 16 degrees and the winds 20-30 mph. The wind chill was below zero. After the walk and after breakfast I left for Sam's club to pick up the fruit for the fruit baskets needed for the all church Christmas caroling on Sunday. I bought enough to make 4 big baskets and a couple smaller ones for individuals if needed. When I got home I put them together. I didn't have any bows so made bows out of the tissue paper I bought to add to the fruit bowls.

A Taste of Madrigal
Once they were done they were taken over to the barn as we have the heat down to 55 degrees and I wanted the fruit bowls to stay cool. The living area is so well insulated that it was only down to 61 so tomorrow if it still hasn't dropped I'll move it into the gym area which is a little cooler. Mark had the wood burner going at home and we both brought in a few loads of wood to make sure we weren't burning any propane. We had a light supper a little early as we needed to leave by 6:15 pm for the Fellowship hall. We had tickets to the Co-op Taste of Madrigal tonight. We were met at the door by the Court Singers who were singing Christmas carols. Our table was number 19 and we shared the table with Kristin, Ava, Aubrey, Ivan and Joan. They had a musician playing a violin at the fireplace before the start of the madrigal.
Then another musician came in to play.
Gabe was one of the jesters.
Below is just part of the program but has a few of my favorite Madrigal songs.
We enjoyed our evening and the Madrigal dinners, or even the taste of a madrigal dinner really helps get one in the Christmas mood.
