Moving Campers

Ruth couldn't walk today but was down to take mom to Nancy's IEP meeting. Diane, Joan and I walked then were joined by Mark, Sarah's dog and Ruth's cat. After the walk I left for the Berean office. To read about our morning there click HERE. I made it home by noon. Mark and I ate lunch then went right out to start moving campers over to Joan's house. It was determined that she should keep 3 at her place as we have 3 campers that are all different, the Mini Max, the Salem with no slideout and the Wildwood with the slideout and we would keep the motorhome and the other 2 campers here. We first needed to put the hitch on the skidsteer.

The Mini Max uses a 2 inch ball so we used the tri hitch that has all three sizes.
That Mini Max only sleeps 2 people but it sleeps them in a queen size bed AND has a full bathroom AND has a dry weight of 1900 pounds. This camper rents for $129.00 a night as it can be pulled with a light weight vehicle as long as it has a towing package.
Mark needed to move the small Kubota out of the way before we started moving the campers.
It took us about an hour to move all 3 over and place them in the right order.
The middle trailer is the Salem FSX This camper sleeps 5 adults comfortable or a family with children it can sleep 7. It has a murphy queen bed, 2 double bunks and the dinette folds down into a bed. It too is fully self contained. That means it has a kitchen and a full bath with stool, shower and sink. This camper has a dry weight of  3219 pounds and rents for $125.00 a night.
The 3rd trailer, the one on the right is the Wildwood FSX 178 BHSK. This camper has everything the Salem has BUT has the added bonus of the dinette that slides out. It really spacious for the size. It has the double bunks, the dinette seats 6 and makes a camper queen bed. The murphy bed is also queen size, the big fridge, the full bathroom and has a dry weight of 3749 pounds. The other campers still in the barn are exactly like the Wildwood FSX 178 BHSK. All 4 of these campers take the 2 5/16ths ball.
All 3 of the campers with slideouts rent for $135.00 a night.
Camping season is right around the corner and the campers are already starting to book up. IF you ever wanted to try camping but didn't want to invest in a camper, renting one first is really the way to go. Then if you LIKE camping you will have a better idea of what to buy. You can always send me a text if interested in looking at them. 309-208-3840. The motorhome will also be for rent this year at $209.00 a night. It will be posted on RV share soon.
The indoor arena is almost empty enough to ride in again.
This afternoon Mark and Mackenson worked on cleaning up the manure spreader. Sometimes we have net wrap from the bales that gets mixed in with the manure. We try to remove the net wrap when we put bales in but sometimes can't get it all and that net wrap gets caught on the manure spreader tines. It is an awful job and I'm glad Mackenson is willing to help with that.  While they were working on that I was cleaning Lily's stall. She is such a big mare she leaves a lot of manure and since she is currently in season the stall was pretty wet. They were only in for a few hours and I had a full wheelbarrow to dump.
My next job was to give the new barn a quick cleaning. That only took about a half an hour.
Mark ordered another load of gravel and that came today.
Unfortunately the truck dumped it in the barn drive and blocked the only drive to the barn.
Mark had to leave for an estimate and I have someone coming tomorrow to see the barn so got on the skid steer and used two buckets full on the North side of the barn and the rest piled up opening the drive. It isn't completely off the drive but there is now plenty of room for cars or trucks to get through.
I quit working at 4:45 pm so I could drive to Long John Silvers to pick up what mom wanted for dinner. She must have seen a commercial and sent out a request for a Flaky Fish dinner. The nearest Long John's is in East Peoria and when I got there I tried to order the FLAKY FISH DINNER. They had no idea what I was asking for. I got the text out and read it to them telling them, "this is what she ordered" and showed them the text. They had no such dinner. So I purchased 3 of the 3 piece fish dinners that came with fries and coleslaw. We all liked it and guess what? The fish WAS flaky.
Mark got home from the estimate and got our left overs of which there was plenty. So the 3 dinners easily fed 4 of us with 2 extra fish filets for tomorrow.  We had another beautiful warm 72 degree day  the grass is growing quickly and the flowers are blooming.
Another good day and I am thankful.
