It was cold this morning but the sun was shining and by the afternoon it had warmed up to 68 degrees. Breakfast was cooked after the walk and since it was a little later than usual Mark wanted a bigger breakfast. The meat is roast beef from when we served lunch at church. I had frozen the few left over sandwiches. The eggs are well peppered, the toast is keto toast and the potatoes were left over from Sunday dinner, sliced and fried.
It had dried up enough that we were easily able to drive to the round pen. We unloaded the 4 horses into the round pen then let Dancer in to greet them. She is always so kind to new horses.
Jury was interested but just watched from a distance.

Sangria came up to see the new horses.
The 3 two year olds went into the big mud puddle to get a drink then cool off with splashes and even laying down to get all the way wet.
Cookie and Tatiana were haltered and tied to the trailer to bring home. Cookie because we need to get her off the spring grass so she won't founder and Tatiana to get bred. She must have lost the pregnancy during the winter. 
Below is Titus, coming straight from the puddle to greet the new mares. He won't be 2 years old until Aug 4th and yet his mane is so thick and long he looks full grown.
Irish had to come greet them too.
We had lots of squeals. Below is a little better picture of Titus' mane.

Once the herd had gone back to grazing Mike took Missy, Sally and Dancer out of the round pen then left the 2 TB mares locked in while we took Tatiana and Cookie home. He went back got his 4 wheeler, took the mares around the property, then took the halters off the mares and they followed him back to the herd. He took the video while driving and it is sideways but showed how well they followed him around with no halter and no lead ropes.
When I got back Tatiana was teased. She is in season now but won't be bred until her next season. Lily is also still in her foal heat. Her colt was having fun with the zoomies today. I didn't get the phone going until he was about done running around.
I took a few pictures of him for the website.
On the way back to the house I stopped to take a picture of Tatiana.
Cookie had seen Lily and her colt and wouldn't stop calling for them.

Mark replaced the jack on the 2 horse trailer today. The old one was so hard to use.
He and Mackenson took all the thorn bushes and brambles down from the fence line between Lily's pasture and the big field. They were thrown in the once empty burn pile that now is no longer empty.
Look how nice that fenceline looks now.
That was really a nasty job. We had another load of gravel dumped. Mark used some on the main drive. The rest I want spread on the North side of the barn.
I had tea time with Karin and mom today. We had such a good time and laughed so hard our tummies hurt telling stories of the past. Rhonda had come over and showed Karin that the daffodils were blooming. She told Karin these need to be picked and brought inside. Karin was so funny exclaiming, "why don't I KNOW this." Well mine were blooming too. The pictures below are the flowers right outside my kitchen door. 
Thankful for such a beautiful day.
