Messing With Clocks

We lost our hour during the night I awoke some time during the night but had quite a time figuring out exactly what time it was. The stove clock in the kitchen was blinking 10:24 pm and the coffee pot was dark. We lost electricity. My watch showed 1:20 am so the clock was reset as was the coffee pot and only once both of those were done I realized my watch was probably not right as I forgot to set it forward last night. The computer had to be restarted and that also had the time posted of 1:20 am then I checked my phone and that also read 1:20 am. Now I'm really confused. Could my watch have changed automatically?  I was sure the phone and the computer would be reading the correct time. We have an alarm clock in the bedroom that has battery back up and that was reading 2:05 am. That clock we can change the hour but not the minutes so we just remember to add 15 minutes each morning to get the right time. Evidently the computers and cell phones don't change until AFTER 2:00 am. Funny how we thought they would all change at midnight. By the time I figured out the correct time and changed my watch, stove clock and coffee maker it was 2:16 am. I went back to sleep and slept until 6:00 am. I still had enough time to mix up the 6 eggs, 4 and half cups of milk 6 pounds of ground beef, 6 cups of cheddar cheese, 3 cups of quick oats, 2 cups of chopped onion, and 2 tables spoons of salt and get that in the fridge. Next was the sauce that goes on top which was 5 cups of ketchup, 4 cups of brown sugar and 2 big tablespoons of mustard.  That too was put in the fridge. We needed to leave for church at 8:50 am as we were driving to Morton to pick up Nancy. They had her dressed in a very fancy dress.  She loves coming to church and loves attending Sunday School. Joan is her teacher. Tim Funk gave the communion exhortation for the first service. The Bible class and young group served lunch today. Carlie was showing us how the new chair works.

The second service was the elder from Bradford, the elder from Princeville and the elder from Roanoke. They were here yesterday to meet with all of the ministers and their wives for the search for a new elder for Peoria. This service was very touching. After church I went right to work making the meat loaf balls and covering them with the sauce. This recipe made 36 nice size individual meat loaf balls. They needed to bake for about an hour. Once those were done the oven temp raised to 400 and the potatoes were put in. The meatloaf balls were taken to the barn and put in that oven on 300 degrees to keep warm. Dinner was ready and served at 4:30 pm. While all of that was going on Mike and Berlica were working with the 2 TB mares. They took Bulu first on the death trail and Aiken the second time. Both mares did great.
Below is a very short video first of Aiken heading home then of Bulu.
When I walked into the barn with the food. Taegan was trying out the new rocking chair Anna found yesterday.
River and Eden found the new toys and River was thrilled with the leopard and the leopard cape.

Dinner turned out well although some of the grand kids wanted the hotdogs we cooked just in case they didn't want meat loaf. After dinner came the fun. Today David and Leah brought in their new baby boy.
He was so sound asleep even with all that noise. Lucy was here too.
Iris had fun playing with Dexter.
It was good to have Addyson, Jack, Jace and Abe tonight. They were so busy playing that I didn't really get any pictures other than these 2 of some of them.

After the games came the visiting.
It really was a fun evening. Rhoda and Lee took Nancy home. She burped pretty loudly then laughed and laughed. Rhoda took the video below and sent it to us.
We laughed watching it. A BIG THANKS to Rhoda and Lee!
