We did not make a fire this morning. The temperature was in the 20s with the winds from the South and it really did feel like a heat wave. The BIG news for us is that last night Madiera's colt SOLD. They put the deposit down via paypal. I'll need to take him to Dr. Hoerr's as soon as possible to get blood drawn for his coggins test. He will be going to Birmingham, Alabama so will also need a health certificate for travel. The buyer owns a 10 year old Valiant x Sangria stallion and just LOVES his movement and disposition. We really do get a lot of repeat buyers. After breakfast we went out to work. Mark wanted to get the fork lift off the tractor and get the bale spear back on. We worked and worked on that but it just wouldn't tighten up even with both of us working. We finally figured out it was the wrong spear. I found the correct spear and it went on very easily.

SOLD
Today I needed to move 4 bales but to do that we needed to move the motorhome out of the barn. I used the skid steer to take the first bale over to Valiant's paddock. That bale was dropped in front of his gate so I could go get the next 3. Once all the bales were out Mark came to help with the wrap and putting them in each paddock. Valiant's paddock, Star's paddock and the colt's paddock all got a bale and the last bale was brought out and put between the trailer and the truck. Ruth will pick that one up on Monday.
Valiant and the colts went right at their new bales.
Star came over to check out what the boys were eating and Madiera's colt came to tell her, "This bale is OURS!"
I took 2 from this side.
The other two were taken from the other side and I didn't think to take a picture until I moved the motorhome back in.
Dan arrived with his new 12 string guitar. I needed to hear it and it really does have amazing sound.
Diane sent a message that they were on their way home with a big surprise. Dan called Mike to find out where they were and Mike told us he was just 15 minutes away with his new toy. CHECK THIS ONE OUT.
It is a 26 foot MacGregor sailboat.
Of course I had to climb on board following Diane. She went down into the cabin and was putting the cushions where they belong.
This boat can sleep 6 people but realistically 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children. It has a small bathroom. They are going to put in a solar system like the Solar Coaster and then put in a microwave and an airconditioner. This is a good winter project.
The trailer was custom made just for MacGregor sailboats.
They do not need TWO boats so will plan on selling the Solar Coaster down in Gulf Shores.
This evening while the laundry machines were going full blast I wrapped Christmas gifts getting 25 of them wrapped. I'm ready now to take a break and the last load is in the dryer. Hurray...we have clean clothes for Sunday!
