Ruth, Diane and I walked this morning. Ruth and Fedi left at noon on a jet plane for Phoenix. We think it was to miss the coming snow. Actually she had these plane tickets quite a while ago and is looking forward to sunshine. Joan is still in Gulf Shores but sent a message she was coming home on the 10th instead of the 11th and just maybe she will be arriving between the storms. Weather.com for our area is reporting a winter storm warning starting tonight and ending Tuesday night with another storm arriving on Friday so she should have decent driving. Right after breakfast Mark and I went to work to fill the porch with split logs. Mark would bring the logs in the wheel barrow from the wood shed and hand them to me.
I would stack them and while waiting for him to bring the next load take wood into the house and stack that next to both wood burners. 
By the time we quit we had plenty to get us through the next couple weeks.
The next job was to hook up the 2 horse trailer and back that into the big barn. The parts for the door came in and Mark wants to work on that inside in the heat.
From that barn we went back up to the other 2 barns, hooked up Mike's 4 horse trailer and backed that where it belonged before unhooking the truck. My next job was to head back to the barn to finish the cleaning. The floor needed to be mopped and the last of the clean bedding put away.
Dan sent a new song. He wrote it, plays the instruments and also sings all the parts on this one called Touch the Sky
When I got back to the house we had a message from the insurance agent we met with on Monday, he needed pictures and dimensions of the wood burner in our house. That meant I had to clean all the wood off that area and clean out the wood burner.
After sending him the pictures a fire was started and that has been kept burning the rest of the day. The living room is a comfortable 75 degrees and Mark is working at the table in a t shirt instead of a warm sweat shirt. How I love this heat. Mike worked on putting up electric fence around the paddock of the new mares to hopefully stop them from chewing on the fences. All of the paddocks have plenty of hay. and the waterers are all working. The snow arrived around 6:00 pm but it wasn't until 8:30 pm that I remembered the truck had not been put in the indoor arena. That meant heading out to take the golf cart up to the barn to move the truck with the snow flying thick right into my face. 
I was thankful the windshield wipers could clear it off enough to see as I had forgotten gloves.

I really am thankful for that arena. It is pretty full with hay, 5 campers, one lift, 2 tractors, 1 skid steer and 2 trucks. Tonight we are prepared. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
