It IS Finished

Joan and the kids all made it down to the hospital before 8:00 am and were blessed to be able to visit with Tim one last time.  Joan was able to assure Tim that the children would not lose touch with the Reinhard family and Tim was at peace.  This dying is hard work though and when he was switched from the optiflow to the oxygen cannula he needed more morphine. The end came at 6:45 pm. The family was called in and sang Blest Be the Tie That Binds. He finished his race and is now rejoicing in heaven with his savior Jesus and his sons Joshua and Gabriel.  Rachel posted the picture below taken about the time of his passing into eternity.

Ruth, Diane and I walked, mom decided to save her energy for our trip out to Imogene and Harold Tanners house. We stopped at the Berean office to pick up Lukie (who happens to own that office) and drove out the rest of the way together. Today Imogene hosted TAG (touching all generations). We drove right to the huge flower patch. Below are a few pictures.

I'm not sure how many acres of flowers but everyone that came was given a jar and garden snips to make a bouquet.

From there we drove to Tanner's Orchard for lunch compliments again of Harold and Imogene. All 30 of us were served a delicious chicken salad that was also filled with fresh fruit and bread stick and of course a apple cider donut filled out the meal with apple cider for all who wanted it. Delicous!

After the meal we went shopping in the attached store. Many bought apples but mom and I each bought a gallon of that delicious apple cider.  Mom was really tired by the end so she was taken home then I drove to Aldi in Pekin to pick up a few groceries. We were out of eggs, milk and bread but of course I bought other things like bacon, butter and avocados. When Mark got home he was quick to try the apple cider and declared it 'delicious!' It was an exhausting day, not the physical labor but the mental distress of waiting for updates on Tim and praying for his family.  I'm not sure when the funeral arrangements will be. The family is working on those.
