There was a promise of heat on our walk but nothing like later this afternoon. I quit the walk after one round and left for Sam's club at 8:00 am to pick up key lime pie and fresh baked cinnamon rolls for the Berean volunteers. From Sam's I stopped at the Berean office, dropped off the mail and the desserts then took off for Peoria Tire to get the oil changed in the 2007 Prius. Mom was already waiting there with her car. Eddie checked the car in then we left for Bereans. IF you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. After finishing there mom took me back to Peoria Tire. She left for shopping at the Good Will on Pioneer Parkway while I drove to Proctor to drop off her heart monitor then to the Hanna City post office to drop off the Bibles and pick up mom's package. I made it home before she did. When we walked out of the office the heat hit us like a furnace. It was much to hot to work outside. A couple of the girls were swimming to cool off but even in the water it was almost too uncomfortable and soon everyone was cooped up in houses or offices with the air conditioner on high. Ralph and Jamie came over to discuss breeding their mare Dakota again to Valiant. Dakota was bred to Valiant in 2015 and delivered a gorgeous filly Sept 2nd, 2016. Below is a picture of this filly shortly after birth. They named Legacy.

Truth
Below is a picture of Legacy at 3 years of age.
No WONDER they want to breed her back. They have a plan and will let me know when to prepare for Dakota. Legacy is even more impressive now as a 5 year old. Her mane is as thick and long as our purebred Friesians and her tail is so long it drags on the ground. Jamie has to trim it so she doesn't step on it. When Mark got home he thought he would work outside but the heat was just too great. Instead we found work to do inside. I'm thankful for computers. This evening I got on AC Central, clicked on Washington, chose page 100 and then clicked on Fred Witzig. This message was given on Feb. 10th, 2013 and I was shocked at how relevant it is for 2021. Fred talked about an author from Russia named Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn who believed the real problem with Russia was the absence of truth. Kind of like what we feel is now happening to America. We don't believe the media, we don't believe our politicians and now we don't even believe the doctors. Sure am thankful for the Bible and so very thankful that our God NEVER lies.
