Shocking Rainy Monday

It stated raining last night and continued almost all of today. The walk was cancelled and so were the men coming to set the perma-columns for the new barn. Joan took mom for her heart shocking experience.  It worked again so hopefully this time her heart will stay in the correct rhythm for more than 6 months. I had my yearly cardiologist appointment this morning and all is well. That seems like a waste of money now that the aneurism is fixed. Diane called to report we now have 2 bank statements in for reconciling which meant a trip to her office. We are writing such a few checks right now that it only took about 40 minutes.  Mark was home by the time I got back so he helped with the next job. Lily, her filly, Rosalie, her filly and Irish and her colt were taken over to the cabin field. I held Lily's lead rope and Mark held Rosalie's lead rope while Irish was just left free to follow. I wish I'd brought the camera, they were so excited to be there and even the foals showed off. The next job was to take Soul, Lola and Jury along with their foals into the far paddock. Soul and Lola came right to us but Jury decided to not follow the other two and took off in the big field. It wasn't long before she realized she was the only mare still in the field and came galloping back. She is an impressive Andalusian and sure throws gorgeous foals. Her colt is still pitch black. Picture below was taken a few days ago.

I really like the picture below of Rhoda while she was training Jury.
Soon as the rain stops and the fields dry up a bit they will be let into the pond pasture so I can start watching for Lola and Jury to come into season. I missed both of their foal heats. Of course by the time we got back into the house we were both sopping wet from the rain. The rain has now stopped but is supposed to start back up by 2:00 am and continues most of the day tomorrow. Our airbnb guests left, They were here for 3 days but 2 of them were rainy so I'm not sure how enjoyable it was for them. They still left a nice review even with all the rain: Super clean really large space. Lots of amenities and a ton of horses to watch and pet. You can hike the grounds and are only a few miles from town. I’ll definitely return. Homemade cookies are a nice touch.
