Another Rainy Day

Officially we picked up an inch and 6 tenths today. I'm not sure what the last 4 days of rain have totaled but it must be a lot. The lakes are full. Mom's beach is almost under water. No walk again today as it was pouring at walk time and pouring when it was time to leave for the Berean office. If you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. We were done early enough that we enjoyed a nice coffee break with lots of visiting. Below Skip is just finishing up labeling the Bibles going out today. Shirley and Vonnie (Vonnie not pictured) are working on studies. Ron and Megan are applying the postage to the Bibles. Mom and Leila are getting the snack ready, while Ray and Bill visit.

Marin, Kathy and Bruce are working in the other room.  Mom and I left a little early so we could drop the Bibles off at the Bartonville post office then drive to TSC to pick up two 40 pound bags of black oil sunflower seeds and four 50 pound blocks of salt. We got back to mom's around noon and unloaded the sunflower seeds in the rain. The 4 blocks of salt were left in the car, tomorrow I'll drop them off in the paddocks that need salt. I'll also need to move some round bales tomorrow. The good thing about all this rain is that the fields are growing like crazy. The grass is getting long and is coming in thick. We should have a very nice first cutting IF the rain stops and the sun comes out to dry out the fields. Karin sent the message that games were starting at 3:00 pm at mom's house. Joan, Berlica, Karin, Jackie and I all decided to come. Not much else can be done so we may as well play together. Berlica was celebrating, she has finished school and is ready for her summer vacation. Joan is also celebrating that fact. Mackenson just has a little more to go. We finished around 5:00 pm which gave me time to get supper cooked. After supper I played Suzy homemaker and brought out my mending, sewing until I ran out of black thread. It is still raining this evening.
