The Little Town Giants

Our airbnb guest joined us on the walk this morning. She is moving to Casey, IL the land of the giants. There must be Giants living there, check out the shoes in the picture below. These are largest wooden shoes ever made. These are 11.5 feet long and over 5 feet wide so it must have been a very large person to wear such big shoes.

Casey also has the largest chair, largest wind chimes, largest mailbox largest pitchfork, and other largest things in the world. Below are a few pictures.

I'm sure the town is safe to visit, no one has actually seen any of the giants, just their stuff laying around.  After the walk Clark Stoller's message Sunday was uploaded unto youtube so it can be shared.
Around 11:00 am we met with the CILCO guy about the new electrical service going to the new barn. Dan was working over at mom's putting solar panels up on her roof and came over to visit with Diesel.
We finished up there and headed to Princeville, IL to meet with Blake Streitmatter to sign the contract and put the deposit down on the new barn. It really IS happening. This has been a dream of mine WELL before we bought this property. Dad and I were working on the playground, we had company coming and a storm was coming. We looked over at the cornfield and said together too bad we don't have a big barn right there pointing to the location we are actually going to be building on.  At that time we had no idea we would ever be buying the farm. I'm very thankful to Marilyn for selling it to us.
This evening mom and I drove to church. Mark is not feeling well and went to bed around 6:00 pm. Tonight was family night and Gregg Rumbled had the message on Salt and Light. He asked Elisabet if she ever sang that song, This Little Light of Mine and what do we say when we sing, hide it under a bushel?  She turned to her dad and asked, "How does that man know my name?"  When Gregg finished, Mike Rieker stood up to finish up and Elisabet asked, "is that a new guy?"  I had to tease Mike that perhaps he has been gone too long. On the way home,  about 50 feet from our driveway a white van had gone  off of the road and was stuck down in the ditch deep into the woods. We stopped to make sure the driver was ok. He was standing by the back open door of his van comforting his son. He told us he had an officer and a tow truck on the way and both were ok so we left.
