SoupDay

Around 6:30 am I noticed lots of flashing red and blue lights down on the road. I didn't walk down just took the picture below from the house.

There was a police car and a tow truck pulling the white van out of the ditch. It must have been too difficult last night to get it out. Joan stopped after mom and I and ended up staying with the driver until the police showed up. He told her he had looked down at his gps didn't realize about the curve (it was very black outside) and the next thing he knew they were flying off the road into the ditch. He had 4 wheel drive but the van was really wedged in bad. He obviously had to leave the van until today.
Right after the walk I gathered the ingredients to make 2 big pots of creamy chicken and wild rice soup. John, Beth and Jackie came down with covid a couple days ago and John really likes this soup. I'm not sure though if he will be able to taste it. When the soup was done I drove a gallon of it out to Farmington and dropped it off. John told mom on the phone that they were all on the mend. I dropped off 3 quarts at Joan's house for their lunch, then took mom and Sarah (the airbnb guest) each a quart for their supper. Sarah's family have really been enjoying golf cart rides, the playground, the horses and staying here and posted the pictures below.

This afternoon mom and I were enjoying the sunshine on mom's balcony when Sarah sent a text that the washer was giving an error code and not working. Anna was sent a text with the error code and she believes she can fix it but will need Philip's help and he is helping someone else this evening. Sarah will need to finish the laundry here in the morning. Sarah is checking out tomorrow morning and the next guests will be checking in tomorrow afternoon. They were sent a text to tell them about the washer. Sure hope it is an easy fix.
