Dropping Off Jenis & Joshua

Last night once Zion and Addyson were sound asleep I sneaked out of the trailer to sleep in my own bed. Usually Zion sleeps from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am so I thought it would be safe. At 5:30 am Ben came in carrying her.  She woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't find grandma so Addyson carried her to the apartment. Taunya made her a bed on the sectional.  She and Abe were happy and both wanted eggs for breakfast.

We had a leisurely walk this morning. Mom is having trouble getting her breath so we just ambled along only doing one round. Tomorrow morning she is having a CT scan on her lungs. The x-ray showed scarring and that needs to be checked out.
After the walk I left for Sam's club to start purchasing supplies for our vacation coming up in 8 days. On the way home Karin called worried that Ripper may be showing signs of EPM. His owner was sent a message. I drove straight to the cabin field to check him out. He didn't want to move so Hoerr Vet clinic was called to see if I could bring him in except Dr. Hoerr had 3 different emergencies and Dr. Pallen is out of town.  Jackie his owner showed up about that time. After checking him over pretty well we believe it is the abscess flaring back up. We have a game plan and hope it will help him get over this.  From there Jenis and Joshua were loaded up for their trip to Middle Grove. When we arrived there were no horses in sight and instead of Jenis and Joshua running to search for them they took a few steps then settled down to graze. They will stay at Middle Grove until we get back from vacation.

 As I was leaving Middle Grove Jenis heard a horse neigh, threw up her head and headed up the hill with Joshua following. When I got back Taunya had all the kids at the lake.

 She was joined by Gerty, Taegan, Kensley, Diane, Rachel, Crew and Irelyn and all had a good time swimming and playing.

 Even the dogs were having fun. We are keeping Rizzy for Dave and Stephanie this week, Anna brought Pax, Rachel brought Coco and then of course Rosie joined in the fun on the beach.

 When we got tired of swimming we took golf cart rides and jumped on the trampolines.

We all headed to our house for snacks of freezer pops and ice cream sandwiches. For dinner tonight we had taco salad without the lettuce. Tonight the boys are all staying in the camper while Addyson and Zion are staying in the apartment. Should be a quiet night for most of us.
