This morning Karin, Kayla and Magda came to work with the horse bringing out Valiant first. It was so cold this morning they had the barn heater going. No pictures of Valiant, I was busy cleaning stalls and working with Oksana's colt. Magda came in to see him so of course a couple pictures were taken of this very friendly very tall 3 day old colt.
As soon as they finished with Valiant we brought Galena over to his breeding stand and she was successfully covered. She was then taken into the arena where she was showing off her new tricks she learned at Middle Grove.
When Galena is not heavy in foal she is surprisingly light on her feet.
Now to just get her to do that under saddle. Each time she would rear, Karin would give her a treat. IF interested in seeing the rest of the pictures of Galena's work out click

Magda was asking him to lay down and roll while Kayla was cleaning up the pile of poop he left.
Evan is such a photogenic stallion.
When the horses were put away we went to mom's for lunch then played games for about an hour. Last night was the first night mom spent without anyone staying with her. She felt secure with the walker by her chair and slept good. She really is on the mend, now she just has to get her tooth abscess taken care of. She is on a strong antibiotic for that and Thursday goes back to the dentist for a root canal. When I got back to the house I was so thankful to see Mark had a fire going in the wood burner. It was 35 degrees and damp, the kind of cold that just chills the bones. Looking forward to the predicted sunshine tomorrow.
