Grand Daughters RIDE Valiant

Anna dropped Braelyn, Taegan and Kensley off around 7:20 am and we had a full schedule to keep. Lots to do.  The weather was perfect for splitting more of those big logs.
Karin and Kayla arrived to work the stallions. Valiant was first.
 Karin rode him first.
Kayla learned the rising trot today and also cantered Valiant.

When Karin finished she offered to let the girls ride.  Braelyn got to CANTER Valiant for the very first time.

Taegan was just happy to walk Valiant. After all he IS a stallion and is very tall.

Kensley too thought it would be good to just walk Valiant.

Valiant was very good for them. After putting him away Braelyn cleaned up the round pen for Karin.

 Karin brought Evan out.

Today was spent more on relaxing than working but he still worked well.

Below Karin is putting Evan away.
This morning as I was graining the horses, two of the foals got their head stuck in a bucket, pulled back and took out an entire section of fence.  One of the guests that came in last night saw the entire thing. Mark just groaned, put the auger on the skid steer and went to work.
Last night the guests coming in asked if they could wander around outside star gazing when they would get here around 11:00 pm.  I told them yes and even better I would pull the trampoline next to the apartment and put bedding on it so they could star gaze in comfort. They were thrilled and told me they would bring in all the bedding.  Well they didn't arrive until after 1:00 am and sent a text that they couldn't believe how sweet and friendly the horses were but instead of star gazing went to bed. I think they didn't realize that I would be notified. It was hard to get back to sleep. Since the trampoline was all set up the girls climbed on.

Below Mark is digging the holes for the new posts.
The girls found some fun toys and blew them up by themselves.
Kensley was up petting the foals while Braelyn and Taegan were blowing up the bouncers.
When they had those bouncers all blown up we went over to the playground to bounce on the sand.

This evening we went in to Peoria. Mark needed to change a belt on one of the air conditioners at church.
As soon as that was done he took me to Coureys, a Lebanese restaurant next to the Aldi store. We split a deluxe gyro then walked over to get our grocery shopping done spending $117.00.  We were out of just about everything.
