More Sunday Fun

Mark and I took a golf cart ride this morning to count bales and we really did have 22 more bales needing to be brought inside but that needed to wait. We had to leave before 8:00 am for church again to make it to early morning  Bibles study. We  have a good group there, lots of participation.  That gets done by 9:30 am giving us plenty of time to visit with people before going into the sanctuary. Elisabet sat with me again this morning and after Mike Kaisner finished the morning message everyone sitting behind and beside us all just had to remark, "She is SO good!"  Elisabet just played very quietly the entire morning service. Mike Reiker had the afternoon message. At lunch Doris Meiss came up with an envelope containing 2 beautiful head coverings and gave them to ME! One was tatted and one was knitted.  After years of only having 1 left and that one was kind of falling apart, I found someone on a Facebook group that tats them and purchased 2. If I only would have waited a few weeks I would not have needed to buy any.  God knows though that these 2 were needed. Anni Davidovics had just lost hers and was borrowing from her mom. She was given one and the other I'll keep just in case someone else needs 1. After church was the ice cream social downstairs. Joan brought Nancy today so mom gave Nancy the money for ice cream. She was sure happy about that. Joan brought Nancy home and took her fishing. She caught a big bass pretty quickly and was thrilled when Joan took a picture. She wanted everyone to see 'HER fish'.
Mark and I went right out to the fields to finish moving the last 22 bales in. I only had 5 more at the far field when Prissy's owner arrived to pick her up. It was really hot outside so Prissy was hosed down before loading.  Rhoda, Iris, Sarah, Zion, Nolan, Phil, Anna, Braelyn, Taegan, and Kensley all came for dinner bringing a lot of the food. After dinner we all migrated over to the playground.
Karin brought Rhoda a gift from Beth Meister for her baby Iris. This gift is a keep sake for Iris to have when she grows up. It is almost too pretty to use.
It was so hot outside the volley ball players were struggling but the shot below just had to be posted. It looks like they are practicing ballet. Pointed toes, crossed legs and graceful arm motions.
I was holding Iris coaxing smiles and Rhoda took the short video below.
Rebekah was here with her 3 including her month old Blair. Below is big sister Riley Jane holding Blair River.
We were just sitting visiting while watching the games when all of a sudden we heard a big CRACK and then CRASH! A big limb fell across the drive. Not a few minutes before Sarah had walked on that drive in that very spot with Zion in the stroller. We were so thankful it didn't happen then.
There was absolutely no wind, the limb is live and there was no reason for it to break and fall. Mark had lots of helpers moving it off the drive.
Ruth's car just got grazed, no damage done. If it would have fallen when no one was here mom would not have been able to make it home.
Mom had taken some of her friends to Middle Grove for the grand tour.  After the tour they all went to supper at Gils Supper club in Hanna City, IL.  Our guests from the barn left this morning while we were in church. They left the place spotless and even washed all the bedding. They left another wonderful 5 star rating and this review: The place was ideal. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to bring our dogs. There was plenty of room for the dogs to run in the back. Judith is the kindest person. The place was better than we expected. It is a fully functioning apartment. We would definitely go back.  Tomorrow I'll get the place ready for our next guests coming in Friday.  Another super Sunday with family and friends. We are so very blessed!
