No Lost Sleep

First the big news of the day, Hadassah had a filly this evening around 7:00 pm. The filly is strong and nursing well and by 8:15 pm I am ready to leave them alone and call it a night. Thankful we had a daylight birth and no lost sleep with this one.

searching at the wrong end
Ah found the milk bar
That is 2 down with 19 to go.
Before the walk this morning the 2 mares in the stalls, Lola and Hadassah were checked. Hadassah was waxing but not a lot. The other two mares that were in the indoor arena were Rosalie and Ayanna and Rosalie was also waxing. All 4 mares put out then I left for the walk.  During the walk I got a text from the lady that bought Anna's colt. They were going to give their daughter him for her birthday but Angelica, their daughter found out yesterday so they decided to drive down today.  They made it down after 11:00 am and we gave a good haltering, tying, hoof picking up lesson to Anna's colt now named Ingel Lord Luka. I had a 1:00 pm appointment so had to leave around 12: 30  and also wanted to stop at TSC to pick up shots for Darla and Serenity. I didn't end up making it to TSC, my car died and died so badly that even when Fedi put his charger on it and left it there for a few hours it wouldn't start. Looks like tomorrow I'll be driving the 2003 truck to work as Dan has the 2015 truck. Mark is going to order a new battery. For our supper I made a big batch of Yaki Sobi, enough for the Berean meal tomorrow. Ellen dropped off the Berean mail at Meisters and Phil brought it to the house tonight. The rest of this evening was spent out in the barn with Hadassah and her brand new all black beautiful filly.  Rosalie was brought inside tonight to the stall as she is waxing just a little. She is not in labor and not pacing. Hadassah can see her across the aisle and each time Rosalie looks over, Hadassah gives her the evil eye just sure she is going to try to steal her baby.  The wind tonight is roaring, slamming into the walls and doors and it is loud out in the barn.
A very nice text came in from the man who bought Ayanna's 2016 colt. He sent the 2 pictures below:
Caspian is not yet 2 years old and just HUGE! He is so impressed with his behavior, movement and conformation that he wants another colt from us. We love repeat buyers. He asked me to put him on the list.
Caspian was born April 3rd, 2016 out of Ayanna by Evan, I agree he is gorgeous!
