FlyBySundays

It is hard to believe another week is starting. It was hard to get up this morning and head out to work. It took 3 cups of coffee before I was ready to start the day heading out around 6:00 am to feed. Today Jenis and Galena were moved into the paddock next to Evan's to start watching for them to cycle. Sheena and her colt were moved into the pond pasture along with Indy, her filly, Soul and her filly, Eliza and her colt. a new bale was put in the pasture behind Raven's paddock so the horses in the cabin field could be brought over. Those 5 mares will be sonagrammed on Friday and it helps to have them here to see if they come back in before the vet comes. Once all the mares were moved and fed the stalls were cleaned. I was back in the house by 7:20 to start breakfast for the humans. Around 8:30 am Eliza and her colt were put back in the stall. The weather was predicted to be sunny and hot and we can't take a chance on the colt over heating.
We left for church at 9:15 and had an absolutely wonderful uplifting day. Craig Stickling had the morning service and Tim Funk had the afternoon. When we walked out of church we were shocked at how hot the afternoon had become and I was so glad Eliza and her colt had been put inside. The kids had already arrived at the lake by the time we got there and the grand kids were already swimming.
Above is Jace, Kensley and Addyson and below is Jace.

Above Braelyn is showing us her baby frog and below Karin had to jump in to rescue Jace who stepped in a hole and went under.
In the picture below Braelyn is showing us the snake skin she found.
We decide it was too hot to eat out on the picnic tables so everyone came over to our house for dinner, then back to the playground for the usual volley ball games.

We had a good group of players and an even better group of audience. It's more about the visiting then it is watching the games but I must say we were pretty impressed with some of the volleys, they seemed to go on and on. These kids are GOOD!
Rhoda snapped the picture below of Honey out grazing.
Karin and I took one golf cart over to the barn around 7:00 pm  to give Eliza's colt his last antibiotic shot then put them back outside as the weather was cooling off.  Lee had the other golf cart giving rides to the kids. They said they were chased by an alligator but I'm not sure I believe them.
The rest of the pictures of the afternoon were posted on Facebook. If you would like to see them click HERE.
The group headed over to Phil and Anna's house for games and dessert but Mark and I decided we are heading to bed.
