A Day with Grandsons

Both boys slept great, not waking until 6:30 am. Mark watched them for a few minutes this morning so I could meet up with the walkers. We had fun playing most of the day. When Karin arrived the brand new sword, that had been ordered for the Friesian play, was taken out and of course we had to try it out.
Rhoda arrived with Addyson right about the time Mark arrived after work. He watched the grand kids while Emily and I moved in 3 new round bales. A pipe below ground broke in Valiant's waterer and water was gushing out. Emily was able to turn it off, We moved Jenis and Roxanne into the breeding shed with a new bale. Emily found an electric heated water bucket we are going to use for Valiant for the next few days. It is only a 5 gallon bucket so it will need to be filled quite often. We decided that would be easier than moving a tank in for him or putting him in a stall. Mike will be home Saturday night late, hopefully Sunday or Monday we can get this fixed. Rhoda, Karin and Emily worked horses today in the indoor. Rhoda of course on Evan while Karin rode Ayanna and Emily rode Oksana.

They went over the play with Rhoda since she missed the first practice. Meanwhile back in the house the three munchkins were ready for supper. Once they were fed it was time to serenade the old folks.
The dogs weren't too impressed. Notice Ruby hiding under the piano bench. The kids did more fighting than singing.
Jace just loves the dogs, he loves to give them treats and when Ruby came over to play he was in his glory, petting her and carrying her all over the house. Ruby is a good little puppy putting up with him.
Each time Rhoda comes, Darcy has to quick find a toy, tonight she found her squeaky toy, her very favorite toy. That has been her favorite for 10 years.

Emma enjoys playing with Ruby and Ruby is very comfortable around her. This makes it easy when it comes time for dog sitting.
Everyone is now in bed and so will I be in a minute. Grand children are exhausting!
