Promise

It just wasn't a nice day today. The temperatures hovering in the 40s and spitting rain every once in a while. Diane and I went down to Meisters to finish the work we didn't get done yesterday. We realized about an hour into the job we were going to run out of Bibles. Yesterday we checked the warehouse and took every large print Bible we could find down there. Today we were about 60 Bibles short. I told Diane that I had asked Debbie Funk to pray the Bibles would come in so she drove down to the warehouse but without a lot of hope. She came back upstairs pretty jubilant, we had 2 pallets come in either yesterday afternoon or early this morning. We were able to finish all the requests for the week. She drove over 200 Bibles to the post office at noon then drove to the airport to help with Joan and Tim's luggage. We arranged to take the Reinhards to lunch at Tyrone's once their luggage was loaded.
Mark, Phil, Dan and I drove to Tyrone's as soon as our work was done and got there about 15 minutes before the airport group. As the guys needed to get back to work we started without them and had just about finished up by the time they were all seated.
After work Promise was taken out for a good grooming and a few pictures. She still hasn't shed out yet but her warm coat is needed with this kind of weather.
Emily did a bit of round pen reasoning with her. She wasn't scared of the scary bag.

It started spitting rain again so Promise was led back to the paddock and put away. She got a leading lesson from Emily at the same time. She leads well but would walk to close to the handler. Emily had to remind her to stay back a bit.
Diane and I drove to church while mom went with Joan and the kids. Tim needed to have his thumb looked at and ended up down at the Methodist emergency room. Joan dropped mom and the girls off at church and drove her van down to be with Tim. After church David and Stephanie drove Sarah and Bethany Reinhard down to Methodist to pick up Joan's van while we drove mom, Hannah and Faith back to mom's. John and Beth stopped in this morning to give mom a dressed wild turkey so mom googled a recipe and baked the turkey for a late dinner. Diane and I had to stop in to taste that before heading home.
