Bright Sunshine

Eva Jean, Diane and I decided we'd better work today as there is another winter storm arriving tomorrow supposedly bringing another 6-8 inches of snow. We were able to finish the studies but Diane had to go back down after lunch to finish reading all the letters. It took her until 3:00pm.  Our day started at a freezing 9 below zero but by afternoon warmed up to 19 degrees with bright sunshine making it possible to get the foals outside for a bit. This was Sissy's filly now named Dancing Embers first time out in the deep snow. She had to taste it.
she doesn't have blue eyes, this was just how the sunlight made them look.
She is 2 weeks old today so new pictures were placed on Sissy's website page for Vicki, Ember's owner. Star and her filly were also taken out for a while.
She would run, play and try to buck then run back to mom for a quick snack. We are pleased that Star is now being a good mom, she was actually pinning her ears at the horses on the other side of the paddock.
We had a couple of visitors today Melissa and Shannon came over to play with Evan. Shannon taught Evan to 'park-out' Just look at that boy stretch!
We asked Melissa to pose with Evan for a picture.
Emily and Mike left for Middle Grove late this afternoon and moved 10 bales over from the old land to the new land. We have 20 bales left out there that are paid for but Chuck has more there if we need to buy more. The way this winter is going we may need to buy a lot more hay.
