Day Late Dollar Short

Yesterday was just a bit busy but so productive. The weanling paddock needed hay, during the night they had cleaned up every scrap. Mark got on the skid steer first thing yesterday morning but it wouldn't start in these cold temperatures. Hay from Marika's round bale was pulled off and 5 wheel barrow loads were given to them to keep them happy until I could get back from work. Grocery shopping was done at Aldi where over $80.00 of food was purchased. The dollar short part came when I couldn't find a quarter for the cart, then couldn't find a dollar to get change for a quarter. Someone removed my only quarter from the car. Karin arrived after she finished her work to help move in the round bales. The middle paddock got 2 and the weanling paddock one. We are using a hog panel around the bale in the second shelter, hope it works. Karin brought the boys in while the arena was being watered. She had just enough time to work both boys and Ayanna before dinner. At 6:15pm Spark, Rhonda, Mark and I met at mom's to drive her car last night. Ours is ok for 5 people on a short trip but mom's is much more comfortable for that many people during the half hour trip in to church. Dave Obergfel gave the service last night, what a treat for us when he walks up. He opened to James 1, proceeded to tell us all about James. Dave told us when he was put in as minister he kind of expected this umbrella over him where trials would just bounce off like rain. After the service Spark grabbed an umbrella, opened it and handed it to Dave upside down, then says, "is that how you hold your umbrella?" No wonder you are having trouble!" The other ministers broke out laughing. Today Dr. Hoerr is coming to draw blood from 11 of the horses here for the coggins test. He will also do a couple of sonagrams, one on Jenis and one on Jewel. If Jewel is bred we will be hauling her to Middle Grove as soon as Dr. Hoerr leaves. Lily, Ribbon, Marika, Zalena and Eliza all need a pneumabort shot. I'm brave enough to do 4 by myself but not brave enough to even try with Lily, perhaps Dr. Hoerr can help.
