Left the Area

Joan sent the video below of their trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. They left at 6:00 am and mom woke when the sun came up and wanted her chair up so she could watch the road.

Aunt Jinnie is flying down and to join them. Diane's flight took an hour and 20 minutes. She was in Gulf Shores just after 4:00 pm. Mark spent some time shopping on Amazon and we think we have found what is needed to recover the camper tables and now that is ordered.
It is a 12 foot roll of peel and stick counter top. If it works we will do 2 of the tables with it. We will bring that camper over here once it arrives.  Mark wanted a omelet for his breakfast using his left over meat and cheese from yesterday's salad.
I used less than half but all of the peppers and most of the onions. The rest was made into a salad for his dinner tonight. After breakfast I took the golf cart over to make sure the weanlings had discovered the round bale and were eating the hay.
All 4 were chowing down! They were called to the front and grained.
Dahlia was tied while she was enjoying the grain. She is going to be the one that needs the most work, she has an attitude and thinks she doesn't have to mind. I spent a little time teaching her to lead forward when asked then got the brush and gave her a good grooming which she loves. The others were also groomed. Below Disco is trying out that Spanish dance.
They were funny, they have 3 buckets but were taking turns with the last one.
I started the laundry over at the barn and saw the bouncy house going. I thought it must be Sarah's girls but it was Dexter.
He came with his dad and told me all about his papa's (grandpa Fedi) talk yesterday.
Mark came with me to get Sarah's second kitten, the one they couldn't find yesterday.
He drove the car while I held the kitten the 4 miles to their house. The two sisters were so glad to be back together.
Mark went over with Nolan to check out the new dog shed and run.
The kitten followed them over and climbed on Mark's shoe.
Below she is asking him to pick her up.
Phil came over this afternoon and got all the upstairs lights now hooked up to the internet. Now we can turn them off and on with our phone. Magic, it's truly magic. I can do this even if I'm in Peoria or states away.
Mark was working on the garage this afternoon. He is replacing all the soffit.
I tried cooking one of the beef ribs, braising it first then wrapping it well in aluminum foal then placing it in the oven at 250 degrees for 4 hours. There was just too much fat and not enough meat on that one rib. I decided not to serve them for Sunday dinner and instead went over to the barn to get 2 chuck roasts out of the deep freeze and will get that in the crock pot tomorrow morning. Yesterday I bought carrots and mini potatoes to go with them. It is an easy meal. I'll serve that with a salad, Hawaiian rolls and brownies with ice cream for dessert. Today all the barn laundry was finished (table cloths, towels, sheets) and all of my laundry finished. This evening the rain has started and supposed to keep raining until we have almost an inch. I think our dry hot summer weather has left the area along with mom, Joan, Mackenson, Berlica, and Diane.
