Facebook Marketplace

Blueberry and her filly were put out in the mare pasture early this morning. The filly tried the grass for the first time. She doesn't have teeth yet but she was trying to copy her mama.

Blueberry wanted to keep the filly from getting too close to Evan and was keeping her in the middle of the pasture. Notice Evan behind them. He was so hopeful she would come near the fenceline.
She walked over to her friend Rosaleigh. Tomorrow if it is nice we will try letting the mares out together.
I stopped watching so could get to work cleaning the indoor arena before the walk. Yesterday Ruth gave each of us a plate of the lamb and lamb stuffing they made for Easter Dinner. Of course all of us had to thank her this morning. It really was delicious! When it was time to leave for the Berean office from mom's house I just had to admire her flowers. Beth gave her the plant below which mom wanted planted right in front of the path so it could be admired by everyone.
Karin planted the tulips. The red ones by the gate and the pink around Aunt Jinnie's tree.

We got to the Berean office by 9:00 am. Everyone coming had already arrived and were hard at work. At 9:30 am we have our prayer then after the prayer Marvin brought up a problem letter.

Below are a couple of pictures, I was too busy to think about taking any other pictures.

The sticky pecan cake was undercooked. The ends were ok to eat but the middle was doughy. At least the pecans and caramel gave us something to munch on for our treat.
We stopped at Meisters to drop off the studies for the Roanoke church then drove to the Hanna City post office to drop off the Bibles and studies going out today. Mark was at mom's working on mowers when we got home and I asked him if he would put the cake in the fridge at our house. Mom and I had a quiet afternoon, resting until Karin came home around 3:00 pm. Just as I left her house I heard thunder and saw the rain coming. Blueberry and her filly were brought back into the indoor arena. Blueberry was glad to come in, she was very thirsty. She would not drink from the waterer as she didn't want her filly too close to Evan. Once in my house it was time to try to salvage that sticky pecan cake. The caramel and pecans were scrapped off and the dough was spread out in a cake pan and put back in the oven on 400 degrees and baked for another half an hour. This time the dough was more like a cinnamon roll. the caramel and pecans were spread back on top and the heat from the dough melted it enough that it spread easily. We tried it after supper and declared it good. Not good enough to serve to company but family will like it, that is if they like pecans. Mark decided it was time to place the rubber tiles on Facebook marketplace. He went over to the barn to take a few pictures and count them.

They are 2 foot by 2 foot and 3/8ths inch thick. We have 150 to sell so they were placed on Facebook market place and within minutes of the ad someone asked if they could come tomorrow morning to look at them. This person wants 60 of them but 2 more people asked if they could come and both said they would like the rest. We shall see what tomorrow brings. They won't be marked sold until the money is in hand. Mark wants $6.00 each for them.  The cheapest new ones we found that were identical to these were around $12.00 each. Every few minutes the phone dings with another person asking if they are available. This Facebook marketplace sure seems to reach a lot of people.
