Special Sunday

Another wonderful Sunday. I had gotten up early and was surfing AC Central. David spoke at ISU and I was trying to find that but was not able to so either it wasn't recorded or is not yet on AC Central. I  stumbled upon a Family night David taught 2 years ago back before Peoria was videoing the sermons. It was on the fruit of the Spirit. It was a good start to the morning and I'll share it here since it has such a nice picture of the horses at Middle Grove.

We left for church early, just was done and ready to go so left at 9:00 am. We had a special treat in Peoria this morning. Rick Kaisner was here and had the morning message. You will want to listen to this message and can by clicking HERE. The afternoon message was the Deacon ordination for Mike Kaisner, Rick's younger brother.  You can watch that by clicking HERE.  After church. The peppers and onions were cut up, sauteed in olive oil and covered in parmesean cheese. I also added a couple more chicken breasts as I got word more were coming for dinner. The bowl pictured below is my biggest bowl at the house. Sarah Reinhard gave that to me and the bags are gallon size bags, one of peppers and the other of onions.
Mark took them over to the new barn to start grilling at 3:40 pm and all the food was done by 4:30 pm. It took a few minutes to get everyone into the barn to eat. The girls were pretty hungry and climbing the poles.

After supper it was still hot, maybe 91 degrees out so most of the kids went swimming.

Spark and Rhonda were watching the kids swim from mom's deck. Sarah came out to join them.

Joan had her family over at mom's for supper. They were just missing Bill and  Bethany's family.
The volleyball games were very intense today and very competitive which was surprising with the extreme heat. They were fun to watch as long as we were sitting in the shade. We had lots of baby boys at playground.

Karli was showing us how Quinten does SO big and fold his hands to pray. Dexter was quick to show us that he knew how to do those too.
Nancy had a wonderful day here. She got to go to Sunday School today, Joan was her teacher and she had to show everyone the paper she colored. Then she got to eat dinner with Joan's family at mom's house. Rhoda and Lee took her home tonight. I was thankful that I didn't have to make that 50 mile trip.
We stayed out until the sun went down and the mosquitoes started to bite. It really was a special Sunday.
