Special Sunday

Sunday, What a wonderful day to wake up to. A day to worship our Savior with our church family,  then enjoy a meal and fellowship with lots of extended family. It really was one of those perfect days. Mark went out for a walk and discovered the far paddock waterer was pouring out as the plug had been pulled. There are no horses in the far paddock so at first I thought maybe kids had been playing in it but this was early in the morning and it hadn't been running too long as the water hadn't reached to bottom of the paddock. The metal plate over the plug had been picked up and moved to the side and the plug still in the reservoir but not in the drain. It almost had to be a raccoon. We need to borrow Joan's live trap. These raccoons are so destructive. I showed Mark how to stop the water then went back to peeling potatoes for our dinner tonight. I also made a pan of brownies, and cooked breakfast before getting ready for church. We had a different day at church. Tim Funk wanted to have the morning service speaking not from the pulpit but from the front of church with a microphone and had others come up during the service to help recap the entire week of the conference. I think Everyone in Peoria was thankful and feeling so blessed by how everything went. If you would like to see this service click HERE  Mike and Carol along with Dale and Cindy served us pizza, salad and sweets for lunch today. Mike Kaisner had the afternoon message. Click HERE to watch that.  Our David was in Princeville and had the morning message there. Of course Mark and I watched that after putting the 10 pounds of potatoes on to boil and the pork roast in the oven to cook.  We were both amazed at David's memory. He was quoting chapters and verses so quickly we have to watch again and take notes. Click HERE to watch that message which was a very relevant message for the times we are in now. The food was done by 4:30 and taken over to the barn where we were joined by a big group of around 35 people. There was plenty of food and even some left overs. After supper we went to the playground and were joined there by more cousins, second cousins, aunts, uncles, dogs and of course lots of babies.

Below is a short video of just some of the fun.
It was such a nice evening we didn't come in until dark. Lee took Nancy home for us. Rhoda drove separate and stayed a bit longer. The gratitude in my heart overflows on days like today.
