We had a big group on our walk. Bill and Bethany joined Diane, Joan, Ruth, Mike, Mark and me. We also had 2 dogs and one cat join in. When when we got to the cabin lane Mike had to remind us that we needed to keep it down, they had guests in the cabin and we sounded like a riot was happening with all of us talking at once. We really did enjoy talking about the wedding yesterday remembering the oh so funny parts along with the touching parts in the wedding service. After the walk Lily and her colt were put out in the big field. Missy wasn't happy but Lily sure was. There is plenty of grazing there. Her colt is getting good at snatching a quick drink from any direction.

Busy Monday
Mark left to go work again at Maria's as her garage attic still needed work. He stopped at Aldi on the way back as we could use a gallon of milk. We sure miss having that fresh milk from Rebekah's jersey. I'm glad for her that she sold one but now they only have enough for their calves and their family. Karin needed a little help this morning with the old water softener in mom's basement. It was still full of salt and very heavy. We were able to dump most of the salt out, load the water softener tank on a wheel barrow and run that up to the dumpster then shovel the salt into the wheel barrow for another run up the hill and to the dumpster. The 2 of us were able to pick it up and dump it in dumpster. Later I drove the golf cart up to check on Lily.
They are sticking around well so the halter and lead rope were removed.
Mark went back to working on pot holes this afternoon. He used the mini excavator to dig around the pot hole then dumped gravel in, pounded it down, added more gravel and raked it smooth before adding more gravel. He youtubed the best way to remove potholes so hopefully this works.
Above is heading toward mom's below is the entrance. He actually dug the entrance ones out early this morning before breakfast then added the gravel this afternoon.
This evening I finally got around to downloading the pictures and videos from yesterday off my phone. Mike had his 2 Thoroughbred mares in the outdoor arena and they were more interested in watching the pony rides than grazing.
Below are a few of the pictures of the pony rides.
Then of course the video posted below.
Samantha and Tyler brought Lucy to the volley ball games tonight. She was so happy.
The little ones really had fun last night even though grumpy grandpa wouldn't get the bouncy house out for them. He just didn't want the noise.
We got shocking news about Anna's brother Austin. He got his hand stuck in an auger and had to be taken to the hospital. The good news is no bones were broken the bad news is there is some tendon repair and lots of stitching needed. Gertie sent the picture below. It is graphic so you may not want to show to young children.
He is now out of surgery and will spend the night at the hospital.
We are expecting rain tonight so the 2 foaling stalls were cleaned out and heavily bedded then Lily and her colt moved into one. When they were put inside Missy started throwing a fit neighing, that started both of the stallions off neighing. Then Mike came and took Missy to the cabin field to be with Sally. When she left Evan really started calling and bucking. Those are HIS mares, how dare they leave. All is quiet now. Lily is happily munching away on the hay and the colt is taking naps in the deeply bedded stall.
