Super Sunday

We slept good last night and awoke to more rain. Almost an inch over the night and by the time we got home from church we got another inch.  We had an easy morning preparing for church. David had the morning message. IF you would like to watch it click HERE. David told us during this message that there is a legend of Simeon and if interested in that ask about it. I googled it once home and this may be the legend David was talking about: Orthodox tradition says that he was one of the seventy scholars who translated the Hebrew Scriptures into the Septuagint, and that he translated Isaiah 7:14 as saying "a young woman" would conceive rather than "a virgin" due to his disbelief. Because of this, a divine being told him he would live to see the fulfillment of this prophecy. When he was around 360 years old, he saw Jesus, uttered the benediction and died. The afternoon service starts with singing and I just happened to snap the picture below as the singing started.

Tim Funk had the afternoon message, if you would like to watch that click HERE. Lee and Rhoda's family arrived first for dinner. Iris and Zeke had fun playing with grandma's canes.
The canes are no more needed for grandma but they make great kids toys. Maybe I'll hang on to them for a while. Rhoda took Jury out for a ride and when she finished she let Iris ride Jury up to the barn for the untacking. That was one happy girl.

Below is the video of her trip up to the barn.
Nolan and Sarah arrived just in time for supper. After supper we went to the playground for the volley ball games.

The sun came out which meant a trip down to the beach.

Lee had Zeke up on mom's deck.
When the volley ball games finished Zeke got to go swimming too.

They played for hours quitting finally around 7:30 pm.  Phil and Anna left right after church to pick up a trailer for Meister's up near Chicago. They just also happened to find a vanity about 30 minutes from where the trailer was so bought that then found a man selling games for the game room about an hour from there so went there next. They ended up taking 10 hours but were pretty thrilled with their purchases. Below is the vanity for the master bath.
This is really cool, open the cupboard and there is a slideout that has usb ports along with 2 electrical outlets and cut outs for the hair dryer and curler.
The top is quartz so really nice and should hold up well. Rhoda found the connect 4 game for the game room.
Below is the 4 person video game they went to buy. Below Phil is working on putting it together. This can hold something like 5000 different games. It came with 4 stools color coordinated with the joysticks.
The bonus was the man was also selling the fooseball table so they bought that too.

A video was made first of the playground and beach fun then of the girls playing the games that are now set up in the game room of the barn.
