It was hard to get up this morning because during the night we had so much bright lightning and booming thunder the house was lit up. That went on and on. One strike hit very close and we found out later today that it probably either hit Joan's house or right next to it as the sound waves caused things to fall off of her walls. We lost electricity and that meant around 2:30 am when that came back on the coffee pot needed to be reprogrammed and it is that crazy complicated Keurig machine and is not easy to program. I had to get a youtube video up on how to do that again. 5:00 am came very quickly. As soon as it was light enough to see I took the golf cart around to make sure all of the horses were ok. Mark had to clear a big tree off the drive. Mom was also awake and called Diane to see if they were ok. Diane and Mike had just gotten home from Gulf Shores and hour earlier. Their flight was delayed because of lightning. Our airbnb guest staying in the 5th wheel sent a very nice text this morning. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. We would definitely hope to come back again! We had a very nice fire before the rain, it was awesome sleeping in your 5th wheel with that storm. Slept like a baby! Hope you have a great day! She then booked the camper again Oct 6th and 7th. It shocked me to get a booking in October as we had decided to winterize it and close it down Oct 1st. Too late to do that so now it is blocked starting Oct 8th and until the middle of April 2024. Mark and I left at 8:45 am to pick up Nancy before church. Nancy was thrilled to come and told me, "I'm not going throw a fit or scream, I'm going to be a good girl." That lasted until we walked into church and I asked if she would like to hang up her coat. "NO," she yelled loudly and stomped off into the sanctuary. I just had to laugh, obviously they have been trying to convince her that yelling isn't good behavior. She kept her coat with her the rest of the day. Ruth took her to mom's after church. Mark grilled hamburgers for our supper and those turned out delicious. Zion showed me her award. She won 2nd place in the art exhibit at her school.

Lightning and Thunder
That girl loves crafts.
Below is Elisabet's art.
Even Eden entered the competition.
We had the birthday party after supper for two 10 year olds and one 12 year old. Jace and Israel turn 10 and Jack turns 12.
After the party we all went to the gym for fun and games.
In the picture below Israel is figuring out where to hook the tow rope on the car.
Sunday's are the best! This evening the sky put on another amazing light show for about an hour and then came the rain. It is all over now but more rain is on the way and according to weather.com it will rain most of the night.
