After such a late night and just a few hours of sleep it was a little hard to get moving. We had a guest spend the night and I am short of bread so decided to make biscuits. When the oven was preheating it started on fire again. There is either some grease not yet burned off or maybe the flour used for putting out the fire yesterday was burning. The flames weren't huge so the oven was turned off, the oven door opened and the fans turned on in hopes the smoke alarm wouldn't go off. The alarm went off around 7:00 am and would not stop until all the doors were opened to the outside and the over head fans turned on. We were sure our guest would wake up but he must not have as he didn't come down. I was able to finally to use the oven and get the biscuits baked. We made out the night before that breakfast would be at 8:00 am and at 7:55 am I sent Mark up to give our guest a 5 minute warning. Breakfast was on the table ready when he came down but as soon as he sat down he realized he had someone coming to his house to pick him up to take him to Eureka so ran up to grab his phone to tell them to drive out to Hanna City to pick him up. Mark and I finally just ate without him. When he finally came downstairs it was 8:15 am. The drive from Eureka to here is at least an hour and then another hour back so for sure they were going to be late getting to church this morning. We had a good day in church. Joan brought Taegan and Kensley with her. It was wonderful to have grand daughters in church for the day. Darren Plattner was visiting from Champaign and had the morning service. Mike Kaisner had the afternoon. Joan sat with mom so Nancy and I went up front. During the prayer, Nancy expelled gas quite loudly. Thankfully she didn't exclaim, "JUDY" like the last time that happened. After church Rhoda arrived and right away started cleaning just to help out. The rest arrived pretty quickly. Kensley and Taegan helped make the dessert for tonight. We had left over roast with wild rice, green beans, salad and biscuits and everything was delicious. After dinner Rhoda organized games for the grands, starting with electricty.
