Joan was late bringing mom to church today, mom slept in and wasn't ready and some how, not sure exactly how they arrived just after 10:00 am. David had the morning message. IF you would like to see and hear it click HERE. The Sunday school Christmas program was today in place of afternoon church. We had front row seats and enjoyed hearing the Christmas story through their pieces and songs. After church Joan took mom over to First Federated church to hear the Messiah. Mark and I went home as we have gone quite a few times in the past. We only had a couple hours before we had to head back to church for the all church Christmas caroling. We split into 3 groups. Our group went first to an injured lady Rhonda knows. Berlica, Jasper and Taegan sang a special song for her and she gave them each a hug.

Christmas Caroling
From there we drove to the duplexes at Skyline.
When we sang at Carolee's, we took mom right up to the door. Carolee came out and gave mom a big hug. These two ladies went to Africa together not that many years ago.
The last place we sang was the Skyline Home but because they had an outbreak of Covid we weren't allowed inside and sang next to a slightly opened window.
Below is a short video of just a few songs.
The group Sarah was in went to Bernice Hauk's house. Bernice is 109 but next month turns 110. She was able to sit outside with warm blankets wrapped around her. She is so wrapped up we can hardly see her.
They also sang for Kathleen.
After they left Crystal sent this to the group.
Caregiver B'Anca had never heard Christmas caroling in person before. She had tears and later said it was one of the most beautiful experiences she has had! She sent videos to her mother.
She is the one that was Dad’s student & was in the last graduating class of the old Peoria Alternative High School.
The evening was a blessing to everyone. We all met back at the church at 6:30 pm where the ladies had prepared a wonderful meal for the singers. In truth, almost all of the singers had also dropped off food for this feast. We stayed to help some with the clean up then took Berlica and Taegan home going out of our way to look at the beautiful bountiful Christmas lights all along 116.
