Breakfast Date

We had cool weather for our walk this morning. After the walk Mark helped move a bale in Evan's paddock and he was moved back into that paddock. He has had the mare paddock with the back field for the last few days. Each mare was teased before they were put in the mare paddock. Jury was first and she ignored Valiant. Once in the paddock though she waited for another mare before wanting to head into the field. Oksana was next and she too was not interested in Valiant. Sheena was the 3rd mare teased. She was out yesterday but I still wanted to make sure she was not interested and she wasn't.  Indy and her colt were last. Indy just isn't showing anything.  When I put her and the colt in with the other mares, the other mares all took off for the field and her colt followed them while Indy checked out the paddock.

Below is Indy's colt.
Indy finally decided to head into the field.
She took off running with her colt following her.
I was just putting away the lead rope when Mike Rieker called to report on mom's wheel chair van. The new tires were on but the shocks couldn't be tested as there was a spring on the driver's side rear was broken. Mike said their business doesn't fix those but not only knew of a company in Peoria that did Automotive Spring Inc, he also called to see if they would.  They could but it had to be taken there today. Mark was just on his way out for his Doctor appointment so drove me to East Peoria Tire. The van was picked up and dropped off at Automotive Spring Inc and we still made it to his doctor appointment with 8 minutes to spare. Since he was having a fasting blood test neither of us had breakfast so once they drew his blood we had ourselves a breakfast date at IHOP.
Mark ordered the chicken fajita breakfast while I ordered the sampler. Both came with pancakes. Below is Mark's breakfast.
The eggs were seasoned and were delicious. Below is my meal. This came with 2 bacon, 2 slices of ham and 2 sausage links but I chose all sausage.
We each at half and brought the other half home.  Each meal was $12.99 and the coffee was $3.00 but they gave us a pot which kept the coffee very hot. We spent $35.70 plus left them an $8.00 tip. Crazy to spend that much on breakfast but it was nice to be waited on, the food was delicious and since it was close to 10:30 am we were hungry. As soon as we got home the new camper and truck were taken over to Phil and Anna's who are heading up to Lake Michigan for the weekend.  Joan wanted the 2003 truck to take some old manure over to Hannah and Jacob's for their garden. That was moved over to the manure pile then I walked over to mom's to let her know it was there.  Daisy was playing on the sliding board but Joshua was climbing the big white pine tree.

That tree is easy to climb but leaves sap on the hands.
Bethany was digging up some plants from Diane's yard to take with them over to Hannah's. Mark was busy grading the driveways. That last rain came down so hard our driveway was washed out.
The house needed to be cleaned up and the laundry done today so I worked on that until 4:00 pm then went over to mom's to play a couple games of Carbols with Diane, Rachel and Karin.
We had our breakfast left overs for supper tonight.
